Who Called Us

This is a collections company, and it is against the law(the FDCPA) for them to identify themselves as collectors unless they know that they are speaking to the correct debtor. This is why they always ask if they are speaking to the correct person before they tell you why they are calling.

If a person incurs a debt while he or she is married, that debt is legal the debt of the couple, not just one of them. When that couple divorces, this does not change. This is why it is perfectly legal for a person to call an ex husband or wife on a past debt in order to recover it.

It is also not illegal for them to call your cell phone, but if you tell them not to call you on a given number they cannot continue to call you there. This does not make your debt go away, however, and even if you forget about it, your creditors and thus the credit beureaus will not forget about it.

I don't answer, but have "missed call" on my cell phone every day. ARRGH!

These fuckers won't stop calling our home. This is ridiculous!!! 4 times a day they call. Jon acts like he cannot speak English just to play around with these nut-jobs. Have no clue what they want . . .

I have been called 10 times in the past week. They are attempting to track down my ex-wife and they claim to be sending mail to my address. I have not received one piece of mail from OSI! I called the number back that was left on my v-mail. The first person would not talk to me after I told her that I was recording the conversation same as the recording that THEY have when you call them.
I was HARRASED by a Mr. Daniels.

Was President of several collections agencies before OSI, including North American Capital Corporation which had "problems" (read: federal prosicution) for violating debt collection procedures in 2000.

Saw this number on caller ID for about a week and decided after visiting this site to answer. After a few seconds of horribly screeching sounds, a male picked up and asked for "Doreen". Doreen Who? "Doreen Bouchard". Well there is no Doreen working here, hope he noted that and they stop calling!

I keep getting calls that tie up my answering machine with annoying STATIC at earsplitting volume! This goes on at length and could fill up the machine. There's never anyone there to talk with (but apparently malfunctioning voice mail). If home I disconnect as quickly as possible. I don't have caller ID, but today called *69 and was given this number. Google says the area code is Philadelphia or Eastern PA, but I haven't been able to find a name or identity yet.

Stop calling me at work....they call at home and work but will never leave a message....who are these people!!!!

Called after 9pm on two separate occasions. I will be reporting the company.

It has been two days and no more calls. Go to do not call registry page and file a complaint. It worked for me.

I got a new cell number this summer. This company keeps calling and asking for a Scott Mueller. I have told them countless times that this is not the phone number for this person and I don't know him. Some of the rude idiots that they have continually call have raised their voices when I have told them not to call and others have hung up. These people are beyond annoying they need to be stopped legally from harassing innocent people!

It's a collections company. They use sneaky ways to get any number they can (of a relative, etc) in order to find the person who owes $$$. Very persistant even when you tell them they have the wrong number.

Calls several times a week and leaves a message for someone with my name (but with one wrong initial) and a reference number to use when I call back. I called once a provided the number. They asked if I was the person they left the message for and when I asked the person the name and business of the company that had placed the call, she would not give any info unless I verified that I was ... the person Hung up and do not answer these call anymore.

These people are crazy. Who are they? They call all the time I pick it up and there is static. Then I tell them they have the wrong number and they keep calling.

Call received at 8:42am. Person looking for an ex-lover of mine from 21 years ago. He and I never lived together. I bought my home years after we broke up. He and I do stay in touch and he has no idea what this could be about, and how my address and phone number became connected to him.

This guy called me today and was quite rude! Wanted me to EXPLAIN why I answered the phone in spanish (when I clearly speak English) and kept asking to speak to these people I've never heard of...after I TOLD him I have no idea who these people are! So he hung up without saying goodbye.

This is a collection comp. If they call before 8am or after 9pm m-s they are in violation of title VIII law. Ask them to stop and they will or report to the attny general office

I keep recieving calls from this number on both my home phone and my cell. I have never answered it, because I do not recognize the number at all (not even the area code). They persistantly call, even on Sundays, which I believe is illegal.

This company has been calling me 3-4 times daily for the past few months asking for elizabeth travis who I do not know. I tell them this and then they ask to verify the address I do that and the address is not mine so they tell me they will remove my number but to no surprise they dont do that and they call back 3-4 hours later. At this point is coinsidered harrasment and I am keeping a record of all calls and I will be getting a lawyer if this continues. I feel sorry for anyone else that is getting phone calls from this company

This company keeps calling asking for my ex-husband of 11 years. Whom has never lived here, has never shared this phone number. They are very annoying. I would like to know how they got my phone number!

Called on 8/17 clasimed to be from basnk I never herd of wanting payment on may card. I asked for details ad they kept asking for my checking account info.
Called on 8/19 and "Jessie: said she needed to verify my address and DOB. I asked for a name of her company and she kept demanding the information and refusing to answer. I asked for her DOB and she hung up.

These are very annoying people. Calling me for someone who does not live here .....constantly!

I just got a cell phone and this number called my cell phone. Don't appreciate this at all as all my calls are prepaid.
