The phone is ringing, and I don't recognize the number,
All Caller ID says is, "NAME UNAVAILABLE".
Please help me figure out who is calling and what they want

These people are crazy. this is the first time from this number but i get alot from others...

Grandson answered before the # showed on caller id. There was a recording saying to press 1 if I was the person they were calling and 2 if not. Before I had a chance to press 2 the call disconnected.

Eric, I get the same from my caller ID. - Caller ID said "TATE&KIRLIN", went to call notes, and they hung up and didn't leave a message.

called the number back and have never been talked to like that in my life. Rude will not cover the treatment we got.

Very similar circumstances as the other people who posted. They are looking for someone who had my phone number over 7 years ago (I've had it that long.) After the third call in which they all but accused me of lying that I was not the target of their crusade, I told them to stick their attitude where the sun never shines and blockd their number.

This is at least the third time these people have called us. We've told them they got the wrong number and Dorothy Hiede, someone they are after, does not live here or have this number, at least not anymore since two years ago.

It doesn't sdeem to do any good. I guess they don't believe us.

Well...will just block their numbers using Caller ID Interceptor and even though our caller ID will record the fact they called us...our phone won't ring and we won't get sent scurrying to pick up the phone to find ourselves talking to these sobs.

a recorded message came on that didn't ID themselves. It proceded to ask for a person thay I never heard of and asked me to press 1 if I were the person and 2 if not...I have been called from this number B4 with the message asking for a different person..I just hug up on the call.

They said I had outstanding debt from an unpayed credit card. From 10yrs ago.... I'm 22, never had a credit card, never had a cell phone, I still live at home. I've never had anything in my name. So they threaten to sue me and all that good stuff. Well I was 12 yrs old when they say I aquired this debt. They were very rude, using profane language. Threating me, with law suit and continued phone calls. Well I've filed with the FTC and the BBB, I hope they realize that I could not have gotten this debt the speak of at 12 yrs old.


How do I stop them from calling?

  1. Ask the unwanted caller to stop calling and put you on their do not call list (they are legally required to comply).
  2. If your number is registered with the National Do Not Call Registry you can file a complaint with the FTC.
  3. Block them with a call blocker:
