How do I stop them from calling?
- Ask the unwanted caller to stop calling and put you on their do not call list (they are legally required to comply).
- If your number is registered with the National Do Not Call Registry you can file a complaint with the
FTC. - Block them with a call blocker:
Uniden DECT1288 blocks up to 20 numbers, plus Private and Unknown, with the reject tone, without ringing the phone.
Panasonic KX-TG106 blocks up to 30 numbers, plus all unidentified callers, with a busy tone, after the phone rings once.
JF Teck Caller ID with Ring Controller blocks up to 70 numbers, and can be set to always allow up to 100 to ring through.

Don't ya just hate this bullsh!t!
My old phone used to allow me to block numbers from calling me... I don't think my current (sidekick lx) phone does.
Oh, and I don't own a car (see last post).
This is an internet wish that these people would die.
I don't say that lightly, but it's deserved in this case, as it is clearly just a scam and an intentional waste of my time. Add up all the time their automated calling system wastes and don't tell me that it doesn't add up to YEARS of people's lives. That's stealing, and there's no excuse for it. If there were a body, we would call this PREMEDITATED murder.
BTW, pressing #1 to talk to someone just hung up on me. Bastards !
This is the second call I received. The first time I returned the call and someone did answer and then when I asked a question just hung up on me.
This time when I returned the call as they actually left me a message it said it was a disconnected number. Both calls saying my car warranty has just expired and I can still extend coverage. Uh.... I just bought a car so ....

SOMEONE CALLED YESTERDAY FROM 330-452-6280 & LEFT COMPUTER GENERATED MESSAGE ABOUT EXTENDING A CAR WARRANTY. MY CAR IS 11 YEARS OLD & MY PHONE NUMBER IS UNLISTED! NO MESSASGE LEFT TODAY. CALLED THE NUMBER BACK & RECORDING SAID IT'S NOT IN SERVICE IN AT THIS TIME. GUESS THEY'RE USING A SPOOF CARD TO SHOW BOGUS NUMBER. THERE SHOULD BE A WAY TO STOP THESE CALLS!

This person has called our cell phones and house phone several times over a period of several days. They have even called my husbands work cell phone and it is always the same recording from a car warranty company selling extended warranties. How do we get them to stop calling? If you call the # back it say's it is a non working #.

If you would like to stop recieving calls from telemarketers call the National NO CALL list @ 1-888-382-1222 I just did. It takes less than a minute. Only reason this person got thru to me was because I changed my cell # and forgot to call the Nat. no call list. My old cell # was on that list for 9 or 10 years and I NEVER got a telemarketer call. ;) It does take 30 days, but it DOES work.

'If you place one of our signs in your front yard...' This is the second time, since I activated my new cell phone, that I have received this same type of call. The other came from 401-719-1533
Partial message left on cell phone indicating that a "monitoring program" would only cost $29.95 per month. Final part of message said to press "1" if interested and "2" to be placed on do not call list.

Tons of complaints on other sites about this number. Some scam auto warranty BS. I alreasdy have an extended warranty dick-weed! Anyway- when you press the option to be removed it hangs up on you. I have gotten numerous calls on many differnt numbers with this same recording. The worse the economy gets, the more of these we'll be getting!
