Same story...Asked to call about a "Personal Matter" I Have excellent credit, always have, all debts paid in full.

Message says "if you are "your name" then you acknowledge that you are the person we are trying to call. After that I hung up

I found the perfect way to get douchebag collection callers of the line. I'm male, so if the caller is female I try to engage her in explict phone sex, if the caller is male, I try to engae him in explicit gay phone sex - hey idiots - you called me, so you can listen to my x-rated rant. By the way I'm strait, but it's hilarious when I tell some minimum wage chick to take a 15 inch c*ck in her mouth or tell some guy "hey sailor, how long are you in Port, lets ride the hershey highway" - they forget what they called for and hang up. HA HA minimum wage call center sh*T

I found free letters on adviceontime.com that you can mail to this a@@holes to get them to stop calling you. They also have an article on how to deal with them. Fight back, they have to respect your legal rights.

Called @ 1:02pm EST - left a rambling message (mispronounced my name) that I could not understand; I don't believe English was the caller's first language!

They called & did not answer. I am going to report them, because I am on the do not call registry.

Called my unlisted vonage number.

They call all the time because students lived in this apartment. I add their numbers to Asterisk's blacklist as soon as they come in. So long suckers.

This call is from Asset Acceptance, a debt collection agency.

Called this morning and got the answering machine. Said they were looking for "kelly". This is my friend that lived here years ago, but last I heard lived in KY. These people need a life obviously.

Called and asked for my husband when I told him he was not home he hung up. He called at 6:46 p.m.

They are debt collectors, keep bugging me at work. I found a site that can helped me make them stop calling for free adviceontime.com

Sounded like a real jerk. The name he gave was "Gavin." I should return the call and tell him to stop wasting his time and my mobile minutes...

They just called my cell @ 1:01 pm. i didnt answer, cuz I didnt recognize the #.

i don't know how they got it, cuz I havent really made any calls on my phone yet (I just got a phone last thurs)

It is a debt collector. People have sued them for harrasement and etc. Go to the web site below and then click and read "Text Of The Fair Debt Collection Practices Act" you may have a legal lawsuit you can file against them aswell.

All I have to say is there are alot of people being harrassed by this company for debts they don't owe and debt in amounts way above what they really owe.

Knowledge is power, if they are harrassing you read the first website info so next time they call - you can tell them all the laws they are breaking and turn it around on them.

Tell them at the begining of the phone call after you answer - you will be recording the conversation - then state the date and the time - then ask them to state their name, ID or telemarketing # and the company they are representing. If they ask why - tell them you are filling a lawsuit against them and want recorded proof of the harassement from them.

its a debt collector

Keep getting phone calls on my house phone from this number. I never answer it but did the search and much to my suprise..Caller ID states Michigan call..They call several times a day tons of times a week..annoying..and persistant!!

"By answering this call it will acknowledge you are Marilyn Edwards."

I don't know a Marilyn Edwards! They need to be reported!!

Well here we go agian. They called again this morning, and still insist I owe them money. However, they won't tell me who "I" am. In other words they won't give me a name. The woman on the other end kept asking me for my information. I as always ask who they are trying to reach. The answer: "You Sir".
These games need to end. Any suggestions from anyone out there?

they left a message Gary Sr - which there isn't one in our family anywhere! said they were a collecting on bad debt. I highly doubt that and they won't be getting anything more from me!

female caller said she was a debt collector. We get these calls every few weeks and have confirmed the social and date of birth are wrong. They keep calling anyway claiming none of the earlier calls show any dispute to their claim. we have no debts in arrears having just got a home mortgage, CBI is clear. They keep calling because my wife's maiden name is the same as the bad account w/ Target up north somewhere.

They called me first on 5/15 and then again today. They never left a message so I called them back (not from home). They asked for my personal information, I refused. They then continued to insist I owed an undisclosed sum to them and that I needed to do a check by phone. He wanted my bank routing number and account number. I may look stupid in the phone book, but not that dumb! I then told him if he knew so much about me he already has my info.
I was then told to get a lawyer "I'd need one". Funny, I never gave my name and called from a pay phone and blocked the number (*67).

They called me on 5-9-07 and left a message saying for my attorney to call them and said they were calling on behalf of Jeff Parker....don't know anyone named Jeff Parker and don't have an attorney. They called me Karen. Have no idea what they want....will not call back....

Left a message on my machine about collecting a debt. Since I just refinanced my home and my credit was gone through with a fine tooth comb, I very much doubt I have any debt that needs collecting.

Hung up on my answering machine.

No name, just number

Unidentified recorded caller asking for my neigbhor using the neighbor's name. My home phone number was used by the caller.

Don't call them back they are a collection agency try to collect.

I got my first call from them at 06:37 PM CT on 2/20/2007. The caller ID said "AACC"

They are a "collection" agency. They buy junk debts that are years past their statute of limitations and try to collect on them. Do a google search on them.

they called at 10:57 am on 02.01.07.
Just the number showed up on my caller id.

Called at 8:58pm. AACC as stated above...

They called twice, I called back and guy answered (after 5 mins) and he asked what number I was calling from so I gave him my cell # (they obviously had it) and then he asked me to verify the last 4 digits of my SSN. I said No and asked what this was in reference to, and he stated he would pass me to a Rep once my SSN was verified and then he gave me 4 digits and asked it it was my last 4 of my SSN; I said No and he told me that he would remove my number from the database.

Called before 9 AM in MI (from MI), left no message.

CALL STATES "NO NAME"

Recorded message asked me to hold on for next operater. waited 10 seconds, hung up.
