How do I stop them from calling?
- Ask the unwanted caller to stop calling and put you on their do not call list (they are legally required to comply).
- If your number is registered with the National Do Not Call Registry you can file a complaint with the
FTC. - Block them with a call blocker:
Uniden DECT1288 blocks up to 20 numbers, plus Private and Unknown, with the reject tone, without ringing the phone.
Panasonic KX-TG106 blocks up to 30 numbers, plus all unidentified callers, with a busy tone, after the phone rings once.
JF Teck Caller ID with Ring Controller blocks up to 70 numbers, and can be set to always allow up to 100 to ring through.

"Unknown Name" appears on the Caller ID. Continually call, most recently on 9/8 evening and 9/9 morning. I dont pick up and they never leave a message.
Called last night (9/6/06), at 9 PM, after we had gone to bed. Called again tonight (9/7/06) (one half hour earlier) and left message - asking if my husband was there. Then hung up. Caller ID just says "Michigan Call". No other info. We do not answer the phone unless we know who is calling. I have a feeling they will call every night from now on, until we answer. Then we'll get a sales pitch, which we don't need or want. Some charity indeed, if this is for "cancer research"! Being on the "do not call "list seems to make no difference.
These people are repeatedly calling and are downright nasty when asked nicely not to call again. They become rude and defensive when told they cannot speak with party they're asking for. A highly effective way for this agency to raise money for cancer...
Has repeatedly called my house. Most recently call me this evening at 7:24 pm and 8:46. We are on the Do Not Call list and they did not leave a message either time. They have called us at least two other time in the past week.

this association called and asked them not to call again and the operator insisted telling me that if i didn't care about children with cancer. Requested to talk to my husband and I repeated "please do not call again" but she hanged up.

Caller ID said Unknown Name. I did not answer. My zip code is 76302
Constantly getting calls from this number and never leave a message on the answering machine. I *69 each time and its the same number. WE don't have caller ID for the reason it never shows the person that is calling. So why pay for the service.
I called this number and got a message for Cancer Fund of America, a "not-for-profit" organization. Technically they are exempt from the national do-not-call list as a charity. But this charity has been involved in fraud in VT and in 2000, they hired telemarketers who raised $3,806,761 and kept $3,339,889 for themselves. Not much of a non-profit if they only give out 12% they raise.
