Who Called Us

All of these calls are coming from Nigeria. The Country code is 234, so that shows up first (on some phones you will have +234, the + indicates international call). I get two or three of these a week, they ring once and hang up before I can answer, but they are from different numbers (usually +234 703-xxxxxx). I fear the Nigerians are gearing up for a new scam and are trying to compile a list of all active phone numbers by calling every number just long enough to see if it rings. I would recommend calling your phone company and requesting that they start offering a way to block all phone calls from Nigeria.

Didn't answer my cell because I didn't recognize the number. Phone rang until voicemail picked up. No voicemail message was left.

Got a call from this number and the lady started to mumble. I said "excuse me" and she muttered something else. I kept saying hello and she said "I'm sorry, I'll have to call you back". Truly bizarre.

I have had the same issue as previously stated. They will call and as soon as I answer they hang up without saying a word. A loved one of mine passed away a year and a half ago and has outstanding hospital bills so it's probably to do with this matter, considering everyone on here has an outstanding hospital bill in common. I'd like to know why these people are so retarded that they won't stay on the phone long enough to collect. They've literally been calling 2-3 times a day for the past couple of months. I just don't answer any more. Although I think I'm fed up and going to put them on my blocked list.

I receive calls from this phone number and I look at the caller ID and I'm like not again.

This number has called me several times and there has not been any response. I answer and it hangs up, i call back and it says the number I am calling is not valid

These people have been calling me for months now.To the point they now call and just hang up.

I was at GWU hospital a while ago and have an outstanding patient bill, but that number is not related to GWU Hospital

I received a call from this number as well. I have bills for Children's Hospital MPLS, some one must have gotten our information so how. The hospitals number for their billing department does not come up as that.

I've received 2 calls from this number, which rang once and then stopped ringing. Called the number back and a recording said the number could not be completed as dialed. When I recived a third call (two in one day) I picked up the phone on the first ring and a lady asked to speak with me by my first name, and when I asked what this was about, I informed her the person who she wanted to speak to was me. It was about a $50 hospital bill from Desert Springs Hospital in Las Vegas, from my stay there in January. When I told her I hadn't received a bill she said the bill was recently sent out, and I told her I'd pay it once I got the bill, but not by credit card over the phone. I'll be calling Desert Springs Hospital to enquire about their billing practices today.

234-562-3456 Received a call about 4:30 in the afternoon with this number on my Caller ID (cellphone). Naturally never left a message, I assume this could be a Collections Dept for a hopsital. I have sent a payment for a bill I owed, but wasn't able to pay it in full. So maybe if you owe a balance on any hospital bils they are calling to collect.

Alright- I just received another call from this infamous number. I've gotten these before. We need to figure out what we all have in common, because I have been to St. Paul's Children's hospital before like one of you above. They asked for my mother. I said she wasnt here, and she gave me that same phone number. I want everyone who posts to describe in more detail their call-we all must have something in common. Who are these people? How do they know us? What do they want?

called 4 times. said she is from GW hospital. wanted to know my birth day! i asked her number to call her back. gave me the following number 866-705-3786.
is there a way to go after these people?

called 5 or 6 times over the past few days. the phone seems to ring only once and then just stops. then finally today they left a message. said they were with the george washington hospital business office for a visit my boyfriend had there about a month ago.

didnt recognize number so didn't answer. Lady left voicemail saying "hello?, good morning, hello?". Apparently telemarketer with autodialer....

Called and implied they were from the Mpls. Children's Hospital where our son stayed almost 4 years ago. Sounded as if they wanted money. But the area code/number didn't match the hospital's

Received a call from them at 12:10 pm on 12/26. Didn't answer because I didn't recognize the number. They didn't leave a message.

I've received two calls from this number in the last two days. The number shows up as 234-562-3456 on my caller ID. I tried calling it back, said I needed to dial a 1 first. Note that the number then becomes 123456-23456. Strange.

Called my cell twice, hang up. I called back, can't be completed.

some lady left me a voice mail on my cell saying something like "2000 matters. Thank you." crazy.
