Who Called Us

they called me at 11pm when I had to be up for work at 5am.

We get constant calls from this and also from an 800 number from people claiming to be from Chase. There are a lot of suspicious behaviors from these callers for them to be a "real" bank. I have had them ask ME for my social and/or account number when they call us, which Chase says they don't do. Also, they ask for my husband and hang up when I say he's not home. Anybody can "say" they're from a big-name bank. I have started answering the calls and asking them if they are legitimately associated with Chase and to provide the location and mailing address of their company, and I'm getting a lot of hang-ups! I have also contacted Chase to see if they have any records of someone trying to reach us and they say no. So, DON'T BELIEVE THEM. Also, notice that if you try to call them back, you get a little faked recording about the call being recorded for quality purposes, then an immediate person on the line. Come on. Do REAL banks do that? No, you have to wait on hold for at least 10 minutes and go through about 5 layers of menus.

This person called and asked for my Husband on his cell which recorded the # then he hung up & called our home # under unknown caller. I assume it is a telemarketer as we do not use chase.

They keep calling, but do not leave a message. I don't normally answer calls if I don't recognize the number. Pretty annoying! It probably is Chase Bank, since my credit card payment was a day late.

They call asking for names of people I don't recognize. I told them not to call here again. So far, they haven't, but they were calling before about five times per day.

As if the constant harassment from 223-987-2500 and 223-987-2400 isn't enough, now the same scammers are calling from 800-424-5004. It's the same drill...calling for someone who's never had my telephone number...calling 10+ times per day...saying that they'll remove my number if I give them information. Felt slightly better after screaming profanities at the guy but the trade-off certainly isn't worth the continual hassle.

Sheesh. Just got another call from the same fools, this time from 1800-424-5004. Big time MONEY SCAM!!! Becareful people.

I've been getting calls from these numbers for a few days now asking for different people. Today I decided to entertain the call (after a heated exchange to remove my number) and admitted to being "Dalash Doe" ;-) "Whats needed of me?".."A minimum payment of $95 or full $295, routing and account #, name and address." Im a Citibank client and found this call funny and scary. (for those who would give their info)

the numbers: 2239872400 and 2239872500 been calling my phone for about a week. or some times no number will appear. but they don't leave voice msg. very annoying. they call you even early in the morning and on wkend too. I answered it once and will say my name. of course they know my name coz of my answering machine. i hope this will stop. this is really a SCAM!

We have no accounts with Chase, and get calls from this number constantly. If we answer, get a hang up. Calls at really odd times.

I have an unlisted telephone number and I am also on the "Do Not Call List". My husband does have a Chase Account.

they called, I didn't answer...I have had several "unknown" calls on either side of the call from that number.

This number has called 4 times since 1pm and it's now 2pm. They call continuously and now I'm thinking of calling back or answering the next time they call. It gets quite annoying. I'll update with anything I find out.

add this damn phone number in cell phone's address book, and then set the custom ring for that person to silent. So every time they calls, u can't hear anything.

I started to receive the phone call from 223-987-2400 and "unknown" from 11/05/2006. They called me at 8:30AM(Newyork)every morning. Damn it, for some reasons, i can not to shut my phone off.
Every time they call, Say some strange name...I tell them that i'm that that person, and plz remove my phone number from the calling list. Every time they say" sorry,i'll remove your number", but i still get phone call the next EARLY morning!!!!
Today, i was so happy coz they didn't call me this morning... I got the call again thia afternoon...I hate Chase Bank!!!I'll call Chase Bank tmr morning, See what are they going to say.

I received 7 calls from this number, spanning from 8:30am (PST), to 12:15pm. I finally answered the 12:15 call.

The heavilly accented man appologized when I accused him of harassment and tried to tell me that it was an auto-dial system. He acted as if I shouldn't be offended and said there was nothing he could do to get me taken out of the system.

That is total and utter BS. I work in a call center. There's a little thing called policies. More like laws, really. If a customer or someone specifically states "I don't want calls from you any more," any further calls are concidered harassment.

We'll see if this stops.

I receive calls from 223-987-2400 & 2500 they call roughly 8 times daily. I dont have any chase cards only visa and mastercard. I never answer but I have called them back and it states an invalid number

called around 830. i might be a day late with a chase card, but i have a very close friend who works for them who usually takes care of that...she said they are not affiliated with it...who knows.

everyone should know by now not to give info over the phone.

It is Chase credit card collection services, but one of their overseas groups with poor english. I'd advise calling your regular Chase number for better english. I have a Chase Acct. but if you don't someone in your family may. Good luck.

I've been receiving calls from 223.987.2400 & 223.987.2500 since 29Oct06. I do not answer calls from numbers I do not know, and this caller never leaves a message so I do not attempt to call them back. They call every day of the week starting at about 730am PST. I am about ready to answer the phone and curse at them. If it is Chase, I am going to close my account with them and change my telephone number.

Called 3 times yesterday, twice today asking for Angela. I have no affiliation with Chase Bank

This number has been calling me several times a day. I screen my calls and they never leave a message. I finally picked up today and it is a money scam! The person on the phone had inside information from Chase about my credit card account. He told me the last 4 digits of my account and that I was 22 days late on my payment. He then told me I needed to make the payment over the phone to avoid a $39.99 late fee. He asked me for my checking account info so I hung up! Someone who works for Chase must be orchestrating this scam or someone has hacked into their computer system.....Don't ever give them any of your info!

I got 3 calls today some woman with a heavy accent asking for "irene" and then she hung up

I posted on 10/25/06 and am still getting these calls several times a day from 223-987-2400, 223-987-2500 and "Unavailable". Since this has been going on for over a month, need to change my cell phone # now.

my mom answered with some promting they ask for laura and my mom call back next week and she hung up

I have received about 14 calls from this phone number in the past 18 hours.... they leave no messages and nobody is on the phone when I answer. Once in a while I get a voice mail from them but it's just silent... like nobody is there.

constantly getting calls from these people... they keep leaving messages asking for a Derek...no Derek lives at this house or just keep on saying Hello...also get the same from 2239872500 and 1-800-424-5004

I have been getting calls for the past two weeks on my landline phone. It says "Ohio call" but no such area code exists. No one answers, or leaves a messages. When I *69, I get a recording saying I must dial a 1 before the number eventhough I did! I called AT&T and told them to block this number, they said they can't block international numbers and the operated said it appears that the calls originate from the Mali Republic.

2239872400 called today. 223 is the ext for Mali...as in the African country. This is a SCAM. You should report this call to the police.

On 10/31/06 got 2 calls from this number. 1 at 8:06 am, the next 1 at 10:54 am. They left no message.

these # calls me twice an hour from 8am to 9pm everyday but when I pick up there is always a delay and it happens to be my cell phone

i have gotten a call from this number twice a day for 2 weeks. "NOT A valid number" when i tried to call back. it doesnt list any names or even say unknown. today is 10-27-06.

I am recieving calls from this number and 223-987-2500 and "unavailable". They alternate and call between 5 and 10 times per day. The couple of times that I answered, they asked for "Betty".

I don't know who's doing this. I have gotten 12 calls from this number for the past two days. I called back and my call does not get through. I get a message from Verizon that the call cannot be completed.

Called today at 8:30. Did not leave message. I do Have a chase card also but just checked balance and everything is good. This is a little wierd. Think its the CIA prank calling.

Calls for past two weeks couple times a day. If answered, no one speaks. If unanswered, no message left on machine. Tried calling number back, just rings indefinitely with no answer.

Sure is the CHASE BANK COLLECTION DEPARTMENT. THEY TOLD ME TO PAY MY BILL BY THE 21ST ITS THE 16, THEY JUST GOTTA STOP BUGGING FOR THEIR 80$ LOL! GOD

i receive calls from 223-987-2400 the 223 area code is from MALI REPUBLIC NW Africa add the 011 international prefix. i might of scared them after saying "hello this is Ben and this call is being recorded for legal purposes" i here silence and then somebody acting stupid saying sorry wrong number. lol funny but if they going to call from other country's and not say anything I'm going to run that phone bill up as far as possible. You know it isn't cheap to call other nations 8 times a day.

Called at 8:00 p.m. PDT, October 10th, 2006, new number at 8:04 p.m. PDT on October 10th from 223-987-2500. I don't answer calls if I don't know the number, especially if it's not local. The area code seems not to exist in the US, so I have no reason to answer the call. Just got a call while writing this: 223-987-2400 @ 8:07 p.m. PDT October 10th. Informed them I don't take overseas calls, and they should leave a message. No response on other end. I'll be calling Chase to ask them about this.

I bet you the bank just want to ensure we are not trying to move without telling them about our new address.
If it's the case, they are really worried for nothing.
I noticed this started happening ever since my credit rating has gone down for no rational reason.

They called twice tonight and hung up when I picked up. I owe money to Chase but I'm current.
If it's the case, I will close my accounts with them.

They call me like 7,8 times a day without leaving any messages. I think its a scam call. Credit card collections would definitely leave messages.

called at 4:45pm asked for my son then said they would call back.

This is the 3rd time I have received a call from this number. I have a TeleZapper installed on my phone line. The TeleZapper emits a tone that tells the telemarketer's computer your number is disconnected . If it is a computer generated call the computer will hang up.

Been getting phone calls all evening from this # AND 223-987-2500. Answered once, no one there. Getting number blocked ASAP.

I have no Chase account, so no idea why they'd be calling me.

Korean sounding voice asked for me by name and messed it up pretty bad. When I said, "Speaking", he hung up.

When you call this number back, an operator comes on saying the call can not be completed as dialed. They called me yesterday 6 times between 10:58 a.m. and 5:34 p.m. How do we stop this aggravation?

They have been calling for 2 weeks. Stated I have a $28.00 credit card balance with Chase bank. Told them not to call and any billing claims need to be sent in writing. I don't have a chase credit card.

They have called another 3 times today.

I was away from my desk and I received a call. I checked my voicemail and it was a hang up.

They called me today at 8:18pm... and many times over the last several days. I don't have a Chase Account that is open... and there is no balance on the closed account. Very fishy.

They asked for my wife by name, and when my son said she was not available, they asked if he was authorized to use my wife's credit card. Yikes! He told them to call back. I'll be watching for this one.

I've been getting 5 calls a day from 2239872500. Fortunately they call during the day when I'm not home. Never leaves a message. I've had the same call on my cell but everytime I answered nobody answered on the other end.

Call from 223-987-2400 at 9:23 am on Saturday 9/2. Call from 223-987-2500 at 2:05 PM 9/1. Left no messages.

Got a call yesterday (2500) and today (2400) around the same time. Answered today and it was a female with an accent. My husband acted like an Asian and so they lady seemed to randomly ask for Nuyen but he said no this is not nuyen and then hung up. I called back and it is the do do do operator wrong number. Strange...

For the past 2 weeks, I have recieved between 3 and 7 calls per day from this phone number. Most of the calls begin around 7 in the morning and do not stop until 5 in the afternoon. I have verified that area code 223 is NOT valid within the United States and I advise everyone to beware. I was told by my cellular carrier to file a police report with the local police department. Once I have done that, I am to send the police report to my cellular carrier and they will legally block the phone number from calling my phone. Perhaps if enough people file complaints against this number they will stop harassing us!

I've been getting calls from this number every two hours for the past six hours. It's driving me nuts!

223 is not a valid area code. I have reported them to AT&T, I think this is a scam call from Africa.

I am NOT a chase bank customer. I hate these calls. They call every 30 mins almost every day for 5-6 hrs a day. Luckly I am at work when they call. But if was at home I would answer and give them a piece of my mind.

Two calls here in the last two days. I'm assuming it's Chase Bank, because I'm on the no-call list, but I'm a Chase customer so that exempts them.

For the last 3 or 4 days, I've been getting phones calls from as early at 7:30AM-9PM from two phone numbers I don't recognize: 223-987-2400 and also 223-987-2500. I don't answer calls on my cell phone that I don't recognize; plus who ever is calling, is not leaving a message on voice mail. This happens to me periodically where strange numbers keep calling my cell.

This time I answered. With some prompting, they asked for Samuel. Said they were from "chee bang". I asked if he meant was Chase Bank, and he hung up.
