A couple of weeks after I joined Minnesota public radio, I began getting calls from this number. I did some research and it appears that MPR have sold my number to these telemarketers. Which means that I am going to cancel my MPR membership.

I called the number and given an option to remove my phone# to their "call list". Just hit option 1, leave a voicemail message with your number and they will remove it within 24 hrs.

Two calls a day for the past week. I never answer.

Got a call 6/7/08, when I answered they hung up. I called the number back and got a recording that I had reached customer link a sales and marketing company. There was an option to have your phone number removed from their calling list, but I just hung up. I am already on the NO CALL list. I will report them if it happens again.

Customer Link calling on behalf of Xcel Energy offering a $25 rebate per year to allow them to play GOD with your AC and allow them to put a remote radio switch on your AC Unit so that they can turn it off when they decide to.
I actually signed up for this 2 years ago and 1 year and 11 months ago told them to disconnect it. They refused to remove it but did flip a switch on their end to take it off of their switch network.
I have an infant who is sick and needs a regulated temperature in the house and they almost caused his death at that time. Will never sign up for this again because of this, and if the power does go off, the generator will kick in and have this working ok whereas their switch will not trip the generator on and the house temp raises real quick when 110 degrees out. they can go to HELL

Call the number back, and they ask you if you want your name removed. So I did leave a message to remove my name, we will see if they call again.

Getting sick and tired of receiving this same call every couple of days at all different times...They are annoying, and they won't answer you when you talk to them. We are on the State & National No Call List, and I'am going to file a complaint against them. I'm also going to call our local TV stations.

I have rec'vd a call from this number for the last 3 days. As soon as I pick up, they hang up w/o a word.

IF you answer, they ALWAYS hang up. Obviously attempting to hack the DND listings. If you call the number, their mailbox to remove your number is ALWAYS full. They are a Sales/Marketing/Telemarketer call.
Best bet? Short of filing criminal charges? donotcall.gov. File a Federal Telemarketing complaint against them.

Just after I put myself on the Direct Marketing Association's "Do Not Mail" list, I have started getting calls from this number.

they keep calling all the time. I'm pretty sure this is the same caller that was an unknown name/number so I got privacy manager & don't accept unknown number calls now I'm getting this number coming up. I have blocked them hopefully this will stop it!

Received a call at 9:08 a.m. PST, April 15 2008. I did not recognize the number and did not answer, when I called back, I got an automated message prompting me to press 1 to remove my number or 2 to speak to customer service. Being as my cell number's private and not in the public domain, I don't know how they got my cell number.

Call rec'd from this number every day for 4 days now - hang up as soon as phone is answered. Area code 218 is from northern Minnesota, possibly Duluth. LeRoy called to schedule a mandatory inspection for Center Point. LeRoy was yelling at me on the phone so I hung up. I received at least 3 calls a day from them. I requested to be put on their do not call list. That DIDN'T work

large corporations have sold our cell phone number to telemarketers our numbers that these corporations should not have in the first place there has been many complaints filed alredy but not enuf im afraid so any person who reads this please file a complaint with the fcc here esupport.fcc.gov copy and past thank you

T he Gas company has given everybodys phone number to some telemakerter in Northern Minnesota. We just ignore the number.

I was not here when call came in. It showed on my caller ID as coming in at 2:18pm. on 12/13/07. This is the first time this number has showed up.

Several calls from this # when we pick up the line, they hang up.

Pretended to be local Gas Company wanting to set up gas meter reading. Inquired as to whether I still lived at said address and if not, then who the owner is. I told the caller that if indeed he was from the gas company he would have that information already. He promptly hung up. Called the number and recording said it was Customer Link and allowed you to press 1 to be removed from the calling list. Recording instructs you to leave a message with your name and number to be removed w/in 24 hours.

I have received seven calls from this number in the past 9 days. When I answer, there is never anyone there, just a click and a dial tone. When I dont answer, they do not leave a message. I reported this number to my state Attorney General's Office this morning. I am on the state and federal DNC lists.

Calls my cellphone at least once a week some days in the morning some days in the afternoon...pretty obnoxious to see that pop number up....most of the calls are when I am at work or on the other line...but pretty sure its a surver company....seems I get a lot of those bastards and its a new phone...maybe the number was sold or something

The number called me at 5:44 p.m. Central Time.
There was no message left. I called the number back (with my caller ID hidden)and an automated message stated that it is a marketing company and to hit one to get your number taken off the list. So I hit one and it transfered me to the voicemail box, which was full. This is a scam phone call. Beware!

I called the number back and it said that you can remove your number from the calling list, the company name is Customer Link and its a marketing company.

They are a marketing firm. I am assuming that a company sold them my information. If you call them press 1 say your name and your phone number clearly and the message said that my number will be removed. You don't have to buy anything or speak to any one. This should in theory STOP the phone calls.

This number has called my cell phone me several times a day for the last week. I have tried a couple of times to find out who it is but always get the message, push 1 to speak to a rep. I saved the number in my phone as Do Not Answer so my kids won't answer when they call.

This is a telemarketing firm. If you call it back you get a recording and an option to remove your number from their list. I just did it and it was voice automated so I don't know if it worked yet...

believe this is a phone number verification service. They keep track of when you are available by when you answer.

This number has been calling me for about 3 weeks now. I just got called by them,I called it back froma secure line and it's a versatec. I chewed him out because they called my cell phone and i'm on the DNC list.

received a call on my cell phone. no message was left. I called back, it was Customer Link. I spoke with a rep who said they represent various utility companies and likely called to tell me about various options available. I have no idea how they got my cell phone number.

I've suddenly started receiving calls on my cell phone from weird unknown long distance numbers. I.E. 202-505-0000, 202-555-0000, 218-740-2135. It only rings once or twice then goes away. No messages left at any time. I do not answer calls that i do not recognize, so the only problem I see is the nuisance factor. I hope that if I don't answer, they will go away eventually. I'm going to call my cellphone company and the state attorney generals office to report these nuisance calls and see what I can find out. I'll post any positive solutions here at this site. Remember, patience is a virtue...but spammers will be shot on site!!!! No questions asked!...L

Customer Link is a telemarketing firm that serves multiple firms. I called them listened to their recording and spoke to a rep who acknowledged that Xcel Energy as of 4-14-07 is one of their represented firms.

Got a call from this number at 9:42 am on 2-17-07 my cell rang about 2 times then they hung up so I typed it in online to figure out who it was and this site popped up.

They've been calling me for about a week, now. My phone log shows they called at 9:27 am and 4:42 pm on 1/27, 11:12 a.m. and 5:25 p.m. on 1/31, and 10:54 a.m. today, 2/2.

I called this number back - they are a mkting agency representing large amounts of clients. Basically telemarketing. I asked that my # be removed from their list.

Follow up idea, beacuse companies you do bussiness with can SELL your number to Marketing companies, I suggest that the next time you are asked for your phone number give them the number of the pesky marketing company 218-740-2135. see how they like getting calls from annoying Marketing companies. Automated message pressed 1 to speak with rep, this is a marketing company, our information is SOLD to them from any company we do bussiness with, my local gas company sold my info for marketing purposes, If you do bussiness with a company they have the RIGHT to sell your number and they can bypass the "do not call list". You still have the right to tell them to add you to there do not call list. the same marketing company can call you again if they represent another business you have dealt with, I have checked and you have to go through this for each bussiness they represent and you can not issue a blanket do not call for the marketing company its self (cool loop hole huh)

I wasn't home when call came. Was on caller ID @4:52 p.m., 11-25-06. They left no message on my voice mail.

This is the 9th time in 2 weeks that we've been called. I don't answer this call and do not call back.

I'm in southern NJ. CID just showed "Minnesota". I answered and they asked for some unknown name. I told them that they had a wrong number, and he just hung up.

They are some marketing firm. My number is on the DO-NOT-CALL list and I want to report this.

This place called me to tell me I won 1,000.00 from a sweepstakes I entered. They said they just needed to verify my address which I thought was just bs but I actually got a check a few days later!!!!

Thursday, November 9, 2006 Received call from @ 10:34am on my cell phone. I didn't reconize the number therefore I didn't answer.

I've gotten a few calls from this number and as stated before, was hung up on before I even got the phone to my ear. I called back, pressed 1 to speak with a rep and asked them to take my number off of their call list and the lady was very polite and said it'd be removed by morning.

This number has been calling my cell phone, so it just shows up as the number itself. I miss the call everytime I get it. I have been getting calls from this number for the past four days.

No name shown, called me twice, once on Nov 3 at 10:17 am and another time on Nov 4 at 11:22 am. Picked up the Nov 3 call, someone hung up right away. Missed the Nov 4 call.

I don't know how this is, the number just shows up on my caller id. They keep calling even when I don't answer the phone, but when I do no one answers. The last time I recieved a phone call from this number was November 2, 2006 at 6:24 PM MDT.
