They called 4 times in 12 minutes to our company requesting to talk to a person. They were referred to HR which would not give out personal information about an employee or x-employee. When told that person is not in our office, they wanted to know where she was. They proceeded to ask where she was located. HR woould not give out that information, so they got huffy and called back numerous times to try to get different ppl to give them the ionfo they wanted.

I use Vonage, and subscribe to the e-mail translation of my voice mail box. Today I got this message (from phone number 216-896-1172): "This is Robert calling from the law office of Goodwin and Bryan. I need a return call at 1-800-223-4969. Our hours of operation are Monday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, 8 AM to 9 PM. Tuesdays, 8 AM to 7 PM and Saturdays, 9 AM to 1 PM EST. Once again, the phone number is 1-800-223-4969. Please return our call. Thank you."
I am in a business where it is *possible* that an attorney *could* be calling, however, they normally leave their full name, a LOCAL number (or an actual area code) and they indicate what the call is in reference to. Being suspicious, I went to the internet to find out which firm this could be and what TYPE of cases they handle. I could find no information. I called the number and a woman answered as the "Law office of Goodwin & Bryan". I asked her where they are located. She said Cleveland, Ohio. I asked if there is a web site, and she said "I don't think so". ALL legitimate attorneys have web sites. I then looked up: ...Goodwin..Bryan...Cleveland..Ohio...and it led me to this site where I can see that there have been many complaints. I am surprised that this is a collection agency. I haven't had a balance on a credit card in about 10 years, and I pay all of my bills on time. So, needless to say, I will not call them back, and am contemplating any legal action that may be available to me.

I get a call once a week from these assholes. I report every call to donotcall.gov.

This number called my cell phone. It was a recording from "Cathy at the Small Business Network" They've called a few other times.

So has anybody resolved this? So far this is only people whining (including me) about how this automated message calls you. Any thoughts?

Ok - when this company leaves a message it is to 'call them back' at 866-310-9662. I have a feeling that this is tied to a business I haven't owned now in over five years ago - in another state!! but they 'offer financing/credit help' when they leave a message on my voice mail. Ugh - I'm SO sick of these calls and I tell them - "I don't own the business anymore - it doesn't even exist - and I don't have a need for any credit"

Some guy by the name of Richard called me today, said he was with Better Health and said they had mailed me something in regards to my Companies benefits. I called my Benefits Department and they also got a call from this same number and said they saved the message as it was extremely rude.
It concerns me after reading all this that whoever this is not only is calling me but also my HR Department. Why, I have no clue.

This is a scam. I have gotten 4 calls for a credit card from this number. This time they called themselves the Small Business Network. I think this number is used for colletions and telemarketing. I use to work for a company that wanted you to make at least 200 calls per day. They log down the calls you make and thats how you are paid. A lot of us didn't like the job so we'd call numbers and hang up to meet the 200 calls.

I am really getting sick of these people. They call me every day and say nothing. I had researched this number previously, about a year ago and these freaks let up for a while. The most annoying thing: They never leave a message and when you answer they just sit there, or as happened a few days ago they actually made a pig squeal then hung up. Isn't there anything we can do about this? I do not owe anyone, anything. I have excellent credit and I even checked my credit report after they started calling my number and it is A+!! It is annoying as hell though.

I get this call nearly every day, and as soon as I pick up and say hello it disconnects.

No calls yet, but I got a collection letter from CCA for $75 that is invalid should never have gotten to this point. I found a pretty good dispute letter at the below link. I integrated into my dispute letter, and hopefully it puts an end to the harassment and extortion from EarthLink. Will never deal with EarthLink ever again.

Mastercard offer for small businesses. They call a couple of times a month.

A answering machine saying "Please leave a message" is what I get when I call back. They call a few times a week and don't leave a message. My ringer is off during work so I never get to answer it and talk to anyone.

Call showed up on my voicemail callerid list, but they didn't leave a message.

I get the calls from 216-839-2146 sometimes 3 times a day all week long. They don't speak to me but to ask for my husband, when I tell them I am the wife and he isn't available, they hang up. Annoying as Hades. Caller ID says CCR, Inc. They have many many numbers I see. Have lodged preliminary complaints with them and notified do not call list about them and BBB Cleveland. Every time they call I will send a complaint.

I believe another number to flag associated with this company is 216-896-1172. We have been harrassed with this the 216-896-1143 number for months and just have ignored the numbers after answering the phone to hear dead silence when this number comes up on our caller ID. But now this new one has replaced the numerous calls from the old one. Maybe they need to just give up?? We can not even GET Earthlink services in our area and have a local bug exterminator de-bug our place. Not even sure if Orkin is available in our area?? Good luck to everyone.

I can't believe this number is harassing so many of us. They keep callin me at 7 in the morning and it's always silence. I did *57 to trace them. My phone company said I could block them by *60 and adding their number. I will also email Better Business Burea (daMan put up the info - thanks). Maybe if enough of us do, they will do something.

I got the same phone calls from Sean Lee and called with the same results. Filed complaint with the FTC and FCC on-line three weeks ago. Just got a letter from Earthlink saying my phone number has been removed from the collections agent has been removed.

Only recieved this as a message, never picked up the phone. I've heard that he is from a collection agency for Earthlink and if you do not return his call, you have not been officially notified about the collection and dont have to pay. Great! Except... I never had earthlink.

I've done this before, but here goes again - "Amanda" and "Sean Lee" keep calling from 216-896-1143. Day after Day, sometimes hour after hour. Vonage Caller ID puts their company as CCR INC.

I get calls from this CCR Inc. and they always ask for a girl that doesn't live at my house. I have been told that my number will be removed, oh I'd say five times a week for the past two months. I finally found this web site and contacted the CEO of the company, I told him I was on the Colorado No-Cll list and if I recieved another call from CCR Inc. He would hear from my Lawyer.
They are rude and I don't believe the way they do business. I have a feeling I will see them in Court within the next month or so, the way they have been calling me.

This sounds like a scam - it reads CCR Inc on caller ID, gives a name and number to call. From the person who had my number before I did, I heard about the collections angle too.

I tryed to call it and they say it is not a working number to ck the number and try again. they did not pay there phone bill, oir they closed down.

I've found out horrible things about CCR. Because of a dispute with a phone company. As a result, I don't have a phone (can't afford one). They're calling my sister looking for me.--Yeah right! They know where I live. Send a certified letter. That's what I would have to do. I've read online that CCR will call family members to embarrass the person they're trying to contact and #2 they don't send letters because (a) we'd know where they were, and (b) we could send them a cease and desist letter to stop the phone calls. I'm in the fight for my life right now. They can go to the devil before I'll return a phone call.

The way I stopped them from calling is to turn them over to the state department of consumer affairs and threatened to notify local authorities for harassing phone calls. The calls stopped.

The caller refused to identify herself/Company, therefore I refused to identify myself (also, she gave me first name that was slighly different from mine). She became angry and stated, "if you don't identify yourself, we will proceed against you and I hung up. I don't know who they are, but I will investigate through The Better Business Bureau.

Found a NICE little program to route calls through your computer modem . . . and ZAP these asshats calls once and for all. Goodbye forever CCR INC and ALL other telemarketers.

They are calling me too and I've had other similar collections calling me..this started after I filled out some information online for online buisnesses,etc. I got calls from companies and then now collection agencies..I think its some kind of scam. By confirming your name they have your address so it makes it easier to steal your identity. Don't answer or call them back.

Sean Lee is not a real person. It is a fake name made up for their auto dialer message so they can track what account you are calling on.

I used to work there. That CID # is their outbound # call them abck at 216-464-2563. Tell them they do not have permission to ever call you again. This if for medical or internet service collections. A collection company can not call you once you tell them to cease and desist. Alos, if they tell you you have to put it in writing, tell them that the FDCPA says you don't. If they contact you again they can be sued. I used to train new collecters on the laws of the FDCPA and CCR can not get away with this!

OMIGOSH! I JUST noticed something... MAE wrote that this was about Earthlink...?? You know, interestingly enough... we had tried to get cable... and we had called a company we THOUGHT was Road Runner... ended up being NOT who they said... so we CANCELLED the account the NEXT day... when the package CAME... we did NOT accept it... NOW they are saying we STILL owe for shipping and handling even though we NEVER accepted the package!!! So, I'm wondering if that's what this is about?? They are trying to make us pay $$ that isn't theirs! I mean we did NOT accept ANY package from them and cancelled the NEXT day... OH and TRYING to even cancel with them... EARTHLINK whom we NEVER ordered from in the FIRST place... (we were ONLY wanting cable!) ...this has been months and MONTHS of trying to get this resolved! It's ridiculous! So, I'm going to call their customer service dept. TODAY and find out if that's what this is about!

After going on line and filing a complaint with the National Do Not Call Registry, I also filed a complaint with the Attorney General for the State of Ohio. I later decided to bite the bullet and call the mystery caller just to get them off my back! They are a Collection Agency and I really don't know if their telephone calling procedures are legal!! They said I owed Earthlink $21.95. I canceled my Earthlink service in May and paid my last bill in full. I owe Earthlink nothing, but try to get that across to the Earthlink Call Center in Bangladesh, India!!! Idiots, all of them!! I have excellent credit, have never walked away from any bills and I owe Earthlink nothing. I had my Earthlink account for almost 10 years and was never late. I will never do business with Earthlink again, especially since they outsourced to India!! Thank you Corporate America!! We should all boycott American businesses that outsource to foreign countries. My niece's husband works for Dell and he may not have a job because of outsourcing to India and he has a family to support!!

I called the Toll Free Number, making sure to block my number by dialing *67 and I heard a message that "your call can be recorded." When someone came on the line, I said that I keep getting calls from this number, it's harrassment, I'm on the "Do Not Call" list and I'm not giving out any information over the phone unless they tell me who they are," and the woman who answered the phone said "OK, have a nice day" and she hung up on me! Go figure! I have filed a complaint with the "Do Not Call" Registry on line. It's simple. If everyone files a complaint, maybe they'll shut these people down!!!

We keep getting calls from the 216-896-1143 number when we're at work. They don't leave a message but it comes up as CCR INC.They have been calling several times a day for a few weeks now. I tried calling the number but I got a weird beep then nothing. I tried again but it didn't go through. After reading all of the posts about this ,I'm not going to worry about calling them. They are obviously scam artists and are getting through even though we're on the do not call list.

Got the same message from Sean Lee to call his number. I haven't bothered...and don't intend to. But interesting info here, folks. Thanks.

These people are a trip to say the least. I started receiving calls on my cell phone with an automated message. When I didn't return their calls, they started calling my parents (I have no clue how they got that #). They also told my parents they wouldn't stop calling until I called them back. I called this afternoon and they hung up on me twice because I wouldn't give them the # they were calling me @. I called back a third time and gave them my cell phone # and did find out it was for a bill with Orkin that I was unaware of. I advised them I would pay in full in 2 weeks and to stop calling my parents. They told me they wouldn't stop calling unless I gave them a debit card # or a post dated check. I then asked for someone in charge and received a voice mail. I doubt very seriously that I'll receive a call back, but I advised my folks to not answer the phone to these idiots again. I will pay this bill, but not to these people. I'll pay Orkin as they are who I owe. I'll also be filing a complaint against this company and sending a letter to Orkin about the company they send their collections to.

I've been getting these calls for a couple of weeks. I called them back on Saturday. I ordered Earthlink Internet service several months ago but cancelled after they didn't show up for an appointment to install a phone line. This guy at CCR said I owe Earthlink $21 for a cancellation fee. I got very abusive with him, said "F--- you and F--- Earthlink," called him a c---s-----, told him that no one is getting $21 out of me and told him to stop calling my number. But they've called me three times in two days since then.

This # has been calling up for MONTHS! I decded I had enough so since my phone service is with Verizon, we signed up for the Verizon iobi service. You can download the program and for a monthly fee( around 4.00 per month), you can manage who is calling, etc and also BLOCK UNWANTED CALLS from coming into your phone and ringing your house. All you have to do is block the 216 number with the iobi service and your caller gets a message that you are not accepting calls at this time. The caller does not have the option of leaving a message as the call is disconnected. This is the ONLY way I have been able to keep my sanity about me. This # has been trying to contact us for over a year! The other good thing about this service is that you can log on to your call log and see how many times that # has been blocked. If you have Verizon and continue to get harrassing calls from them, I highly recommend you download iobi TODAY! Hope this helps some.

I have received 5 calls in 3 days from this company. They cannot pronounce my name and when they ask for me by my full name, I ask whom is calling. They will not give me a name, a company or a phone number to call back. I told them not to call again and the man said, "I'll call every day until you talk to me." I'm finding out who to report them to (Bud Hibbs comes to mind) and am sending them an email too.

In case you haven't figured it out, this company is a scam and they are using the good name (or at least acronym)of a legitimate Canadian company named Commercial Consumer Recovery. Commercial Consumer Recovery doesn't even do business in the United States, and they help consumers pay debts rather than scamming people. Report this to your Attorney General's Office and be sure not to harm the legit company.

I dont owe any collection agency any money but they keep bugging me everyday and everytime I answer the phone they hang up! It is really annoying.

I don't know who these people are, but they have started to call my cell about every 30min. They have yet to leave any sort of msg.

We've been getting these calls for several months and have not had an account with any of the ones listed. OMG! They did it again! I have a recycled cell phone number. I contacted this number at the "800" provided on voicemail. Called a second time because the first person hung up on me! Started getting calls from CCR Inc about two weeks ago. 3 or 4 times a day answered first one. Caller was real suspicious. First said that they owed us money from a trip we took about 7 years ago. Thank you everyone..I also am receiving harrassing calls from Goodwin & Bryan Law Firm. A post on this site gave me a clue that I had cancelled an account with Orkin 6 months ago and maybe that was it. I called Orkin at the home office of Rollins at 404-888-2825 and spoke with a man, Terry, in the accounting office. He said account was closed, they really seem disorganized. He said it may be from Customer Service at Orkin that I got the calls. He said he will straighten this out. It really got his attention when I told him that if I receive another call from Goodwin & Bryan I will report Orkin to the Georgia State Department of Consumer Protection. Thanks again for helping me with this problem.

I think I figured out how to stop CCR and Shawn Lee from calling. So far since tuesday ive got them to stop. They were calling twice a day everyday. In my case there trying to collect $20 for earthlink to make $5-$10 for themselves. I signed up for wisconsins and the federal do not call lists. I sent a email to the email address Matt said saying im not going to pay them and that im on both do not call lists. If they keep calling ill report them and they can pay fines for violating the law. I think they figured its better for the companys bottom line not to pay hundreds in fines that to keep trying to make $10 trying to collect $20 thats not going to happen.

I got received several calls from them but my voice-mail would kick in and since they are rude, cheap and inconsiderate the first part of their message was cut off each time. Just started receiving persistent calls from 216-896-1143. They never say what the call is about. When I call back, the annoucement always say to try your call again.

We get at least one sometimes 2 or 3 calls a day from this number. It is always a recording. I do not owe anything which could be in collections. Thanks to whoever posted the address, I'm sending them a "Drop Dead" letter from Clark Howard's website tomorrow! If this doesn't work I'm filing a law suit against them. I encourage everyone to do the same.

I get these calls, too. I called CCR at 1-800-393-8633 and some guy told me that I owe $19.90 to Earthlink. When I told him I had canceled my Earthlink account months ago (by phone) and did not owe anything, he said the only way to cancel an Earthlink account is by registered mail. When I told him a didn't owe anything, he hung up on me.

I canceled my Earthlink service in Nov. 2006, but kept getting bills. I called in February to try to get the bills stopped. Earthlink told me in Feb. 2007 that they would cancel my account and reverse the charges of $19.90 to $0, because I should not have been billed. Instead, Earthlink DID NOT cancel my account and sent it to CCR for collections.

Today, I called Earthlink. I first spoke to a supervisor named "Nick". When I asked for his last name, he hung up on me. It took 5 more calls to get to someone who bothered to help me. The guy I spoke to promised me that he would take me off the collections list and remove the balance. MAKE SURE AND GET NAMES AND REFERENCES NUMBERS. Since this is the 3rd time I've tried to cancel my Earthlink service, I'm not too hopeful. Earthlink only wants to extort money from you whether you use their service or not. If you want to cancel your Earthlink account, good luck. They SAY they'll cancel it, but what they really do is keep billing you and then harrass you with a collection agency to try to milk more money out of you. They are scum.

Been receiving the calls for about a month now. They actually leave messages on my machine which is the same message I get when I answer the phone. They want a return call to the Law Office of Goodwin & Bryan. I dont have any reason to be contacted by a law office so I havent returned the calls. After reading these posts I think I will continue to ignore the calls. If they continue, I will attempt to block the calls.

It took around 25-30 complaint filings with the DNC site, but the calls have finally stopped.

With the help Jena's post. I filed a complaint with Ohio Attorney General Marc Dann and they promised to stop calling me. I haven't heard anything from them for 2 weeks now.

I have something interesting for all of you. I get 4 or 5 calls daily. They are not coming from CCR. They are coming from people calling for CCR. When people receive calls from CCR, for some reason my number is what they get it on their caller ID. I try to explain to some people, but after 5 calls a day, I get tired of explaining and just hang up. I am not sure what to do about it. My number is 614-216-8961. CCR has some of the same numbers in their number. I think they have figured out how to make a different number come up on the Caller ID. I have even gotten angry messages from people, thinking I am CCR and telling me to stop calling. Any idea what I should do, other than change my number?

They're a nasty debt collections agency. In this case they were hired by Earthlink (to collect a non-existent debt).

Their receptionist is young, pleasant and clueless and can be fairly easily browbeaten into transferring your call to anyone, up to and including the CEO.

I have more calls from this guy than my mom! Out of 5 messages on my voicemail, 4 were from Sean Lee!

As for my account, the money owed was legit, but we were unaware of the billing. It was a medical claim and the doctor's office did not inform us that there was an additional balance after insurance. I will have it corrected today, but I will not stop calling CCR Inc. until I know that they have "fixed their automated phones" (Which I already know that the system is not the problem).

Campaign with me and call these people back and stay calm in your voice but ask them when they are going to fix the problem.

My question was, if they are a collection agency, then how is it that when they call me, no one is there when I pick up the phone? I told her that either there is a problem with their automated phone system that they should be made aware of and how are they fixing the problem. I them informed her that if there is no problem then this is harassment and that I would be forwarding this information on to the FCC. She did not want to answer and when I asked her what her name was for the record, she refused to answer that as well.

I informed her that if this was a collection call, how am I suppose to know that. If I had known then maybe we could have resolved this several months ago.

I think this is their way of harrassing. It seem counter productive if their job is collections. I informed her of this web site and all of the other complaints that were listed and asked if she was aware this. She said no. I told her that now she has been made aware of the problem by me and that I will continue to call to see if they have fixed their automated phone system yet. What is good for the goose is good for the gander.

CCR has been calling us just about every day for 2.5 years! A computer voice tells us that Sean Lee wants us to call. When we call, the operator says he/she wants to speak to "Elizabeth". We don't know anyone by that name! Regardless of what we say, they call/harrass us EVERY DAY! I've tried everything to make it stop. It's driving me crazy. Any suggestions?

My payment was about 2 weeks late and they already sent out the collection people??? What happened to just adding a late fee?

OK, so our calls seem legit. I just called CCR and asked why they were calling me. They said we have an outstanding bill with Earthlink. I then asked my husband and he said we do owe them money. So, we will pay Earthlink directly and see if these annoying calls end.

No one answers when I pickup. It is probably an old Earthlink Account, we owe them about $3000. Ha!

I've gotten these calls on my cell pretty much daily since I got the cell about a year ago. There is nobody I owe money to, so from now on, I'm going to post complaints to the Do Not Call site.

Received 2 calls in last 2 days on my business number. My main business number is a COCOT - Customer Owned Coin Operated Telephone - Payphone. I get reimbursed for each toll free call made from my payphone. I called 18 times today alone, either hanging-up when someone answered or just layed the received down for a few minutes.

Oops, my original message didn't go thru. I just got a call from a woman claiming to be from my current health insurance co wanting to update their records. She asked if we had old insurance and i foolishly gave her info on our previous provider. Then she asked for birthdates for family members, whom she named correctly, and foolishly I gave them. Then I got worried so I *69 and got the #, and found this site. I am worried about ID theft, but then again, the complaints here odn't sound like that. My inlaws (my FIL has same name as my husband) have credit problems, so it's probably about them. I'm going to check with my insurance co in the AM. If it wasn't them, how did she get the info on my insurance? We've only had it since Feb1.

I have had several calls from this number and they leave a message and an 800-741-9922 number to call back. I called back the 216-area code and keep getting a message saying try your call later. I called the 800 number and ask the name of the company -silence- will not answer me. again the 216 area code called back and there was an actually person on the line, I asked the name of the company-he refused to tell me and told me he could only speak to the (my husband's initials. I think they are trying to get people to stay on the line for some kind of scam.

I have six or seven calls from this number over the last three weeks. When I answer, they hang up. When I don't answer, I get a recorded message from Sean Lee, with no information about the purpose of the call.

We get these calls too although, I never answer and they don't tell you what the call is regarding too either so, I never call back those calls either. It sounds like once you answer, they are trying to keep you on the line for some reason. I would not answer these calls under any circumstances!!!!!

I too keep receiving calls from this phone number. It's been happening once a day on average for over a month. When I answer, it is silent on the other end of the line. I called back a couple of times but the line simply gets disconnected each time. This is very annoying.

I received a call from 216-896-1143. It was Monday, Jan. 15, 2007, at 12:44 pm MST. My Caller ID display read "COR INC". I answered the call and got a recorded message stating only that it was from "law offices" and that I needed to return the call. Neither my name or anyone in my family was mentioned... just what I stated above. I just attempted to call this number and got a "Please re-try your number again." I did not take down the number which the recording told me to call. I didn't wait long enough to know whether it was an 800 number or not.

I had a problem in the past with Earthlink who was my ISP. I was with them from the time I first got connected in 1997 till 2004. When ISP service had been drastically reduced by my telephone company, I inquired with Earthlink about getting my rates lowered as well. They were charging me over $45.00 a month. When they refused, and I made the switch to another provider, especially after I found out how much money from Earthlink went to funding Scientology, they refused to stop billing me! My bank even informed me that they had called several times trying to get EFT information for my account!

Looks like my first message didn't get posted. I've gotten several of these calls at work. They are looking for the person who used to sit at this desk before me. I called the number they left in the message (800) 741-7151 and asked the person who answered what company she was calling from. She hung up on me.

I just posted a message above. I've called the number back about 3 times and hung up in the person's face who answered the call. I feel better now!

This is really annoying- they call with an automated dialer so you can't answer. You get a message to call "stan Lee at 866-280-4656" but no one answers. If you call 216-896-1143 from your caller ID, you get a message that the call can't go through. They should be sued! It pure harrassment!

I was receiving calls from Sean Lee now I am getting messages from Jennifer Jones from CCS. My cell shows the 216 number but they leave the number to call 866-896-1143. My cell is registered for no soliciation calls but I am still getting them. I call from a land line the 216 number they say cannot be connected. I call from the land line 866 number recording says wait next available operator then I get disconnected.

Just spent 40 minutes calling the 800 # Matt gave us. CCR got so angry w/ me for non stop calling. they asked me whats wrong w/ me, why I wouldn't stop, they had work to do. when I did get to talk they would hang up or put me on hold when I ask them for written proof. I must have called them 50 + times. Real funny that they don't like getting calls. Everyone should just keep calling and ask for Sean Lee, if he's real. It will really drive them nuts.

I keeping getting calls from this #, they claim I owe $50.49 from an internet account i closed 1 1/2 years ago. I have never received a bill from the internet co. I had several calls from this number just recently and eventually called the 1-800 number left in the message. A woman answered and told us we owed money to Erols - the Internet provider we used before we got cable. We closed the Erols account in 2004. She said we had received a letter in October 2005 (we did not). She said we could settle over the phone with a credit card. No way! I told her thatshe would to send me an explanation in the mail. When I call the number left on the message I got a lady named Melissa said that "Goodwin & Brian" was a legitimate Law Firm that had offices in two different locations and stated that Daytimer (inc - the organizational planner company) said I bought something back in Aug of 2004 when I didn't. Once I had received a bill from them, but no merchandise and I wrote back on the billing that I didn not order or receive any items from Daytimer (nor did I need it at that time), then never heard anything from them again, then now this - So anyway, the lady said she would send "the bill" back to Daytimer saying I was disputing it as an invalid debt. I said okay, thanks, cause I didn't order or receive anything from Daytimer - not since 2002. It sounded as if no one was on the other line any longer, so I said hello? She had hung up. I would imagine that the number 216-896-1143 is like an automated call line like you would find if someone from a military base were to call you from an "undisclosed location" a base number from which all base calls originate i.e. 886-0000 - but if you call that number you won't get anyone. I suspect the same is true with this company. They have the automated message go out on the "ghost line" and await you to call back.

Got call and do not know what for. Left automated message to call Sean Lee at another number. I will give to my attorney (my husband is an attorney also) and will threaten to counter sue for harrassment. This is not a legitimate company and they are trying to rip you off. You should never pay them because it probably wont' be applied to whatever you owe, if you even owe. These companies pray on people to get money for themselves. If you can't track them and get different numbers it is a red flag. They have to tell you what they are calling for. I refuse to return their call and will have my attorney call and then see if they have the balls to call me back.

I got a call from a male who stated he was with the law firm of Goodwood & Bryan [Bryant] and wanted me to call their 800 number. Since I am also an attorney, I research all of my attorney resources that name all attorneys and law firms in the US No firm of Goodwood & Brian {Bryant} exist anwywhere.

It is common practice for attornys to research the attorney calling before he returns the call.

I got one of these calls yesterday evening while I was out. The message was from Robert and Goodwin & Bryan Law Offices. The number that they called from, 800-223-4969, is registered to Goodwin, Bryan and Schill, LLC, and is shown online as a colletions agency.

Knowing that I don't owe anything, I called their recording back and not so politely gave my full name (and spelled it out) and told them that not only am I the only person residing at the address linked to this phone number, but that I didn't appreciate calls for other people. I also asked to be taken off their list.

I got another call today. They still didn't specify to whom they wish to speak on the answering machine, so I'm not calling them back. I've never received any notification in the mail from them, so until I receive something official, I'm ignoring it.

I have asked them repeatedly to stop calling if they are not going to tell me what the money is going to be paid on. I have received about 5 calls just since visiting Boston on 17 Nov. Received call today, 11/30/06 at 3:47 and when I answered the woman on the other end said something like CFS??? Anytime I try and call the number back, the line goes dead. Very irritating. Does anyone have a suggestion on who to contact to try and locate this company and stop the annoyance. I only have cell phone and suspect they use my minutes somehow. How about anyone else....Cell or Land Line calls.

This is a collection agency they typically buy old collections that have been dropped off your credit and once you call them and respond back to their message they place that collection back on your credit report. Im not sure if its legal especially if these collections are over 7 years old and they are usually written off by the original debtor.

I received a call from this number. They asked for me by my first name, I said "speaking," and they hung up. Did a Google and found you guys here.

I just dialed *57 to log a call trace with the telephone company. If they're calling you repeatedly and hanging up, keep doing the *57 thing and call the phone company when you get fed up.

The call trace information will be given to the police by the phone company.

Get enough people to do this and perhaps we can get them to back off.

This company said that they are collecting on $59 from an earthlink account that had been terminated 5 years ago. The account in question had been settled. They said that if I don't pay this call was over. They were very rude and secretive. I then called Earthlink to complain on that company to see if they were ligit. I think they are a scam company.
