I found free letters on adviceontime.com that you can mail to this a@@holes to get them to stop calling you. They also have an article on how to deal with them. Fight back, they have to respect your legal rights.

Asset Acceptance beggars keep calling me and I've told them that I don't owe them. They will not stop. They must be fucking stupid and hide behind the phone to harass people. why don't they get some real jobs like construction or become police officers but they submit to harassment and beggars. They are low down scum.

I got a calll from Asst acceptance.It came up on the phone I.D. as Unerveristy Of Pheonix.Which that school does advertise on the internet.And my daughter had filled out the questionaire.I wonder if any of these online schools are real at this point.

They call my cell once every few days. Dont know how they got my cell number. They leave a message asking for me by my maiden name, which has not been my legal name for nearly six years. How do they have my new cell phone number but not my "new" name?

Started getting the calls when I got my daughter her cell phone from virginmobile, they called once when I was around, so I got to answer it and told them to stop calling my 9 year old all the damn time, never got another call from them... :)

They have been calliing me for months trying to collect on a 7 year old $19.00 utility bill my son had. They wanted me to just give them his new phone number please. Yeah, right. Now I know my son shoould have paid his bill, but the electric co has long since written it off and these fools are just a bunch of scavengers. My gosh people... get a LIFE!

well, they did leave a message but it was for someone who doesn't live here. I called them back and told them if they called again that my lawyer would be contacted. they need to get a life, really.

these people called and I didn't pick up since the number wasn't one I knew. they didn't leave a message and when I call the number I get a fast busy signal.

Called asking for a person who has never had this phone number. Another collection agency does the same thing for this person. I think they just switched companies. The lady said they'd take our number out of the system. Yea right. We've all heard that before. And I got some swamp land in Arizona I'll sell ya!

They have called twice now, then asked for my phone number. I do not know why they are calling me. How did they get my cell number?

called trying to collect on a a $400 debt from 13 years ago ! they are very rude, hung up on me twice when i tried to ask them to stop calling.

There is a list of laws entitled the Fair Debt Collections Practices Act which prohibits debt collectors from harassing you. Check out ftc.gov.

They have called the last couple of days and leave no messages. I dont have any debt that I am aware of at this time.

i have 2 phone lines into my house, in the past 5 minutes I have received 2 phone calls from this number asking for someone who does not live here. They claim to be taking the phone number and address out of their system, I doubt that will happen. The girl on the other end of the phone sounded very confused.

I got that fucking call from AACC, as it startled my deep sleep! I'm going to hack them asap.

This company keeps ringing my work mobile phone and not leaving a message. I figured it was a collector trying to reach the previous owner of the phone number. I finally decided to search them on the Internet and found this site. Awesome work!

We got our phone number through the local cable company. We get more debt collection phone calls then our own calls. I did call and try to get to the bottom of it, the woman was actually nice, but I doubt our number was removed. She gave some foreign name that is nowhere close to ours. I also got off the phone with ANOTHER collector that was calling for a DIFFERENT name all together.

This number called on my cell. They had my husband's name and said they needed to talk with him about a debt. A lie. Since I am a Federal Investigator, I have to have a squeaky clean credit report, including my husband. They were definitely fishing for info.

Man called and asked to speak with my fiance(he pronounced her name wrong). I asked who was calling and he kept asking who I was. He wouldn't tell me who he was or why he was calling. Everytime I asked him who he was or why he was calling he just would ask me something instead of answering.
