How do I stop them from calling?
- Ask the unwanted caller to stop calling and put you on their do not call list (they are legally required to comply).
- If your number is registered with the National Do Not Call Registry you can file a complaint with the FTC.
- Block them with a call blocker:
Uniden DECT1288 blocks up to 20 numbers, plus Private and Unknown, with the reject tone, without ringing the phone.
Panasonic KX-TG106 blocks up to 30 numbers, plus all unidentified callers, with a busy tone, after the phone rings once.
JF Teck Caller ID with Ring Controller blocks up to 70 numbers, and can be set to always allow up to 100 to ring through.

Woman named Candy left a message about business we have had with Bank of American since 1995. Kept talking about the business we have and the options she is working on for our business and that she would be handling the account through March, then says we might get calls from her associates and gave a phone number and extension to call back!
She never actually said she was with Bank of America. We don't have a business! Never asked for anyone by specific name, so have no idea who the call was actually for. I won't be calling back!
Message left (on answing machine woman)says it's Morey at Card Services calling about a business problem I have with Alaska Airlines. She says to call her at 866-800-9960 ext 80089 between 8am & 9pm. Since I haven't a clue what this is about, it is obviously a scam of some type as indicated by comments left by others.

Some guy called stating he wanted to verify my old address & wanted to know if I could verify the new tenant who lives at the exact address from which I moved over six months ago. It was strange.
They keep calling, but we don't even have a card with Bank of America.
This call was a delinquent payment follow-up call from Bank of America's agent, Card Services.
Called land line, then called cell phone. No message left. Caller ID reads "Ohio".
Caller claims to have a great offer on free hotel stays, etc. You pick up the phone, and he asking about your delinquent credit card payment. Just another ruse to try to get you to answer the phone.
