How do I stop them from calling?
- Ask the unwanted caller to stop calling and put you on their do not call list (they are legally required to comply).
- If your number is registered with the National Do Not Call Registry you can file a complaint with the
FTC. - Block them with a call blocker:
Uniden DECT1288 blocks up to 20 numbers, plus Private and Unknown, with the reject tone, without ringing the phone.
Panasonic KX-TG106 blocks up to 30 numbers, plus all unidentified callers, with a busy tone, after the phone rings once.
JF Teck Caller ID with Ring Controller blocks up to 70 numbers, and can be set to always allow up to 100 to ring through.

It's very hard to tell whether they are real or scammers.
So assume that they are trying to phish for information.
Big question is that they call and never leave a message.
Alarm #1. They always represent many firms and banks.
Alarm #2. They call people who don't have accounts with
the banks they supposedly represent. Alarm #3. And they
always call constantly and never ever leave a message.
And they want people to call them and not the bank?
Just assume that these are crooks. Also, this is
a relatively newly established number. So, again,
watch out.
I have received numerous hangups from this number. When I finally answered, they claimed to be from Sun Trust and wanted my neighbor, clained 411 gave them my number when asked for by neighbor's address. Want me to give their number to neighbor to call about a "good thing" on their credit. Two to three months ago, I received the same call and asked them to not call me again.

message said they were from Bank of America calling about business I do with them. Said they have sent me several letters and this is a final notice. I called bank of America to check that all my accounts were in good standing and they are. I called the number Kim Jackson left 800-726-6562 ext 17275 and got recorded message to leave my name,number with area code and complete credit card number and they repeated it again. Called the bank back and they said they would never ask me to leave my credit card info on a message and to beware. I dont know who they are or how they got my number, I have never been late on anything. Beware.
called this morning, no message, only someone typing in the background. Selective Call Rejection is a wonderful thing...they're now on my list.
This is a collection agency associated with Bank Of America, one of many numbers calling my home phone as a result of my ex's spending problems.

"Ohio Call" I've received many calls from this number July-August 2006
