has called my 11 year olds cell phone more than once. Are you one of those child predators I hear about? Would you like me to report you for stalking my 11 year old?

Warranty about to expire - last notice:
1) Which car? "It's on a vehicle made between 1995 and 2007"
2) Which would that be? I have seven? "Um... it's on your Ford."
3) Don't own a Ford. "You don't own a Ford? Okay, well I'll put you on our Do Not Call list."
4) Where are you located? "Las Vegas. Why are you asking so many questions?"
5) What's your address? "Why don't you start giving me the year, make and model of your vehicles and then I might answer a few of your questions." (I replied that I was trying to figure out which of my vehicles has a warranty that is expiring since I don't have a Ford, asking which other Make or Model it could be... he repeated the "1995 to 2007" story.)
6) Do you know Kathrine Fugazy? "Who?" Kathrin Fugazy, her name came up on my caller ID. "Oh, that might be the boss..."
7) Do you know Linda Wospil? (Her number came up as 215-579-1035, last time they called.) Her name came up the last time you guys called me. "She's probably one of the owner directors. I don't know the name of every person who works at the company. You're asking too many questions - like you're a cop or something. I'm putting you on our Do Not Call list"
8) I asked if he was saying it would be a problem if I were in law enforcement and why he would put me on the Do Not Call list if he thought I was in law enforcement. The line went silent...

They called early in the morning, but I did not answer. No message was left. I have had numerous calls for the past few months, but my warranty has not expired, so I usually just ignore the calls.

July 3rd, 2008 Joe

I have received several ongoing calls asking me to renew a warranty and the message gives you 2 choices, press "_" to renew or press "_" to discontinue this service. I have pressed the number to discontinue the service several times and I still receive calls from them. I have selected the option to speak with someone and as soon as they come on the line they ask if you would like to renew your warranty... As soon as they hear the word "no" they hang up. Sounds like a scam to me.

Called home phone first, Caller ID said "Unknown Number" hung up when answering machine picked up. Then called my cell phone and did not leave a message. I have been getting calls from this number several times a week, always between 11 EST and 2 EST. If I answer I get the recording about my auto warranty expiring(don't have one!)

July 3rd, 2008 Steve

They called and I didn't answer. Tried to call them back not even 5 minutes later and the number was disconnected or out of service. Pretty sketchy if you ask me.

Called my cell phone, stating that your Warranty is about to expire. Press 1 to speak to a representative. I pressed 1 and go nobody. Called the number back and got "This number is no longer in service"

July 3rd, 2008 Robert Hamilton GA

missed call on cellphone just before 11 a.m. here in Atlanta. When tried to call back, got recording that no such number.

July 3rd, 2008 Miles

Neither left a message nor waited long enough for me to answer my cell phone.

July 3rd, 2008 DavidD GA

I filed a complaint with the FCC and put my cell numbers on the do not call list. Filing a complaint only took a few minutes. Normally you have to wait 31 days after the registration is confirmed to file, but calling a cell phone is outright illegal (it's theft, like sending a junk fax). www.fcc.gov

I asked where the person was calling from. "Santa Bar... oh, I'm sorry, I used to live there. Santa Ana, CA. Where do YOU live?"
I asked which vehicle she was talking about. "It's a vehicle registered between 1997 and 2007."
I asked what her company's name was: "Auto Solutions."
I said, "So you don't know what vehicle I have that has a warranty that is expiring?" "It's a vehicle registered between 1997 and 2007."
I asked where they got my number to call me. "I didn't call you, I'm responding to your request for information."
I asked where her company got my number to call me. "As I told you, I didn't call you, I'm responding to your request for information, DO you understand that?"
I apologized and said, "Sorry. My phone rang. I received a message stating that my warranty was expiring and to push 1 if I wanted more information. I pushed 1 and got you. Did a car dealership give your company my name...?" "Do you want me to put you on our Do Not Call list?"
I responded, "No, I'm trying to find out more information about your company and my 'warranty that is expiring...'" The phone went silent (again, like I was put on mute.) After about 45 seconds or so, the phone went dead -- she'd hung up on me.
I dialed the number that came up on caller ID: "We're sorry, your call cannot be completed as dialed, or the number has been disconnected. Please check the number and dial again.

I checked the number... and dialed again. Same message.

I've had about five of these in the last 6 weeks or so, and I know at least one co-worker has had them too. Same deal as everyone else - the warranty on my car is about to expire. Idiots.

I like talking to these people and wasting their time. It gets fun when I start to sexually harass them. They get all offended and I let them know that I care about that as much as they care about wasting my time. When they complain I tell them that they can stop calling if they don't want to hear what I have to say.

July 2nd, 2008 Nicole CA

I don't own a car, yet apparently, my warrenty is expiring on said non-car. Huh. I should ask if they would like to *give* me a car and then I will believe that my warrenty may expire. They called my cell phone which is completely illegal to do. If I can figure out who they are, I'll sue them.

July 2nd, 2008 telemrktsRscum CA

July 2nd, 2008 Henrique CA

THIS IS A SCAM!!!

They're MASS calling everybody!

THis got to be illegal!

July 2nd, 2008 Scream

These stupid people think that I care about a warranty for a truck with 120K miles on it...unless they will fix it. What really pissed me off is that this call came in on my cell phone. The number is not valid or has been disconnected...sounds like someone spoofing a number over the internet or something like that.

July 2nd, 2008 Matt S FL

I've been getting these warranty notices in the mail for a few months. My warranty expired through my dealer already (over a year ago). The voicemail said "This is your last opportunity to renew your warranty" and I hung up.

July 2nd, 2008 Kevin

Same incident that has been reported before by these individuals.

July 2nd, 2008 PissedOFF

These bullshit scammers use the most generic names. The stupid bitch had attitude cause I asked all these questions and wouldn't give her a dime of info. Told me that I reached a transfer center and my reporting them would mean nothing. She told me to speak with a representative she would need my name , make and model of car, and my number. DON'T YOU FUCKING HAVE ALL OF THAT??? NO!! - BECAUSE YOUR FUCKING PHONE BLASTING EVERYONE. FUCKERS!!!!

Junk call saying that my auto warranty is expiring. and said click one to talk to the customer service

July 2nd, 2008 Justin

Junk call saying that my auto warranty is expiring. I'm starting to get stuff like this from several numbers now and it's really annoying.
I am pretty sure that this is not a legitimate business.

July 2nd, 2008 Steve I CA

They told me that this was my final notice that my car warranty was expiring. I have no idea if the warranty was through a dealer when I bought the car or not.

July 2nd, 2008 Kate CA

did not leave the message nor waited long enough for me to answer to the call

How do I stop them from calling?

  1. Ask the unwanted caller to stop calling and put you on their do not call list (they are legally required to comply).
  2. If your number is registered with the National Do Not Call Registry you can file a complaint with the FTC.
  3. Block them with a call blocker or something like Nomorobo.
