Who the hell are these people or why are they calling me,I have no accounts with these people or this business. Report this number now, or I am contacting my attorney at 5 pm today. Thank you.

I keep getting calls for Tamika. My name is Carol. My answering machine say's "Hi, this is Carol", and they keep leaving messages for Tamika. The last one got more threatening. They had stopped for a few weeks and started back up again today. A live person left the message, then called my cell (because I had that number on my answering machine) and left a "very important message for Tamika". If you get the recording it says to hang up if this isn't Tamika. ha ha An answering machine can't hang up.

BOTH my messages say "hi, this is Carol", so obviously these people, besides having nothing better to do than call wrong numbers all day and threaten people with "really important matters" are really really stupid.
I never answer.

And I'm sure Tamika, whereever she is, wouldn't answer anyway.
These people really need to get a life. I really wish there was a way to harass them back at home.

i get about 10 calls a day from these people asking for a mary frank i have filed a lawsuit as i have a recorded coversation as the rep named chris sanchez told me i better pay my bill or he will send me to prison and repo my car and rape my wife yeah im serious my attorney would like to treat as a class action suit please contact the texas state board of lets shut these assholes down

I was called by STEVE BAKER from Academy Collection Services. Not only was he absolutely rude he was also obnoxious & unsympathetic when I told him I had my identity stolen, I am recovering from a brain tumor & I am also in Stage $ of a terminal illness. I told him I was under a gret deal of stress & was on the verge of a breakdown, After he had o scream at at ne he had the audacity to hung up on me! My friend after abitof connincing took me to a the ER of a Mental Hospital who wanted to keep me. I was given meds to help me relax but because of my medical conditions I am unable to take them. I can not deal with another call from STEVE BAKER, if that`s his real name anyway! This stress will send me to an earlier grave!

Last time it was from a James Sharper and to call him back at 215-281-7500 ext.4311 and he wanted to award me with something. caller id showed up as acs8002200605 and caller id number was 215-320-0424. I will never take calls or give information to these people.

The guys called my house useing extreme vulgarity refering to my grandmother as " crazy ass hot maria or marie " and sounded like he was on hard-core drugs, slurring his speech. He also could pronounce anything correctly do to drug-use or total intoxication.

These people call about 10 times a day on my cell....they never say anything just dead air......they must be stopped!

I told the girl on phone that I don't know anyone by the name she asked for. She didn't leave a message.

Who allows the people to call? They have been told not to call! Do they know the Federal Law! Does anyone care.

Someone called: "This is message is very urgent; this message is for Earl, it is very important that you call back today there's been a problem."
This is not Earl's cell phone, I'm glad I didn't answer it, and hope they don't call again.

I have no idea who these people are. I returned the call and got that it is Academy Services. I have no idea why they are calling me and I have told them to stop. I am on the do not call registry and don't owe anyone, anything at all.

Still calling work. The girl that answers the phone got yelled at by her, because she pointed out that the number has been calling for some time, and has been told not to call. The woman screamed at her, and demanded to know what the caller ID said. Our phones turn it off after the phone has been picked up. She told her that it began with 215, and the woman said something about it being a new account, and that it was impossible for her to know that number. When she said that it had been calling before, and that it was illegal for them to be calling our office if they have been asked not to, the woman started yelling that it wasn't, and the girl hung up. She shouldn't be having to deal with this crap for me! Do I call the Attorney General of my state?

This was an automated system from a Collection Agency that said "This is a message for XXX, if you are not XXX hang up otherwise, we are Academy Collection Service attempting to collect on a debt. Please call 800-220-0605 with file # YYY"

I have gottten this several times as it is obviously a wrong number because I am not XXX

By the way, this is on a debt to Citibank, which, according to my paperwork, they sold to two different collection agencies. Is that legal?

Liars!! Said that he was a financial advisor and was returning my call, and that my work number was the only one given! When our receptionist said that she would take a note then, asked if she had a pen and HUNG UP ON HER! Has been repeatedly told that I can not take personal calls at work, so this was just low.

They have no respect for any one. my son answered, and was yelled at they demanded that he put me on the phone when I was not home. When I called back they could not locate my account. No one deserves to be talked to like this if your behind in bills or not. Got a call from these guys asking for someone that I don't even know. The caller started talking abusively and using racial slurs. He just didn't get that I was telling him that he's got the wrong number. Now I see calls from these guys almost everyday on my caller id. They just called again a couple of minutes ago. The FTC website ftc.gov allows you to submit consumer complaints online which I went ahead and did. Hope the government can do something about this. These guys are crazy.

Called me with someone else's name. I told her she had the wrong number and she added a middle name as though that would change my answer. I guess she thought that would make me confess to being Ms. Harris? Maybe next time I will play with them a little. Add some excitement to my day.

I recevied a collection letter on Saturday for a debt that's not mine. The listed creditor was Chase Bank. I called ChaseBank this morning. Chase said they would open an investigation and wanted my contact number. I gave them my cell phone number. Within 5 minutes of hanging up with Chase, this company (215-320-0424) called my cell phone. Does anyone know what gives? I called and believed I was talking to a representative of Chase.

They call at least 2x a day, every day. No one answers the call, although it sounds as if they are still on the line. After repeatedly asking who's there? the phone goes dead. Then they call back 30 seconds later. Same scenario. last week they asked for Terri Greg. WhenI said no one here by that name they hung up. Then called back 30 seconds later. Too bad you can't send an electronic explosion through the phone.

these idiots have been calling on my new business lines for over six months. they ask for NICK CHANG. after explaining there isn't anyone here by that name and these are new numbers, they hang up and call again a couple of days later. sometimes two or three days in a row. i am sure they have called over 40 times.

Ok, I have to admit that I do owe some debts out there and they are calling to collect in some way. What I did find very odd is that a lady by the name of Janet called me and asked if this was Ryan, I said yes. She then asked if I thought her voice was sexy. I said yes because it was. She then suggested that we meet somewhere in Phily and go to a hotel room. We agreed on a place. Then after the call I got to thinking that this was just too odd and I did not go to actually meet her. I sat across the street and say a lady that kept standing out front with papers in her hand. After a half hour she left. She then called my phone the next day to ask why I did not show up. I told her that I saw a lady out front but did not go in. Now what kind of company needs to collect a debt so bad that they offer a sort of sexual encounter to get to someone?

Actually I worked for Academy Collection Services for many years. They do their best to educate their collection agents on a continual basis. I knew the owners personally and can state for a fact that 99% of their staff are very professional. So before you people go on a tear and complain, maybe you need to examine the reasons why you are receiving calls from them. The easy way to avoid the calls is by calling them directly and working out an arrangement.

I'm getting tired of this company. What good is the "Do Not Call List?" One call is fine, but, in the past two years, we've received 70-80 calls from this company. Apparently, they're not too good at their job.

They call often and no one is there. Very annoying.

They have been calling repeatedly for 6 months for a guy I don't know when I asked them to take my number off their call list they told me to pay the debt first. I told I was paying for someone elses debt they said that then they will continue to call until a payment arrangment was made. I told again I don't know the person you are calling for why would I pay their bills.

These morons call my husband's phone about 20 times a day. It's a private number that only 3 people or so even known and we've been very careful who we gave it out to.

I had a case with Citibank which my attorney has settled and I have the paperwork to prove it. They called demanding that I settle this debt immediately. I tried to explain to them what was done with this and they wound not accept me response and kept demanding payment in full. When I asked for a mailing address or fax number to send copies to they refused to give me that information and got even ruder than they had been. I finally hung up and have refused to answer their calls which they are still calling 5-6 times a day. WTF

Got a call from this # - 215 area code @ about 9:45a. Their message said to call this 800 back and an extension to enter and a name too. As I recall, they have called before.

Several things people stated happened are violations of the Debt Collections Act and should be reported to the Attorney General's office in your state and/or Pennsylvania, where the calls come from. The Pennsylvania Attorney General's office is at attorneygeneral.gov

The following things are violations of the Fair Debt Collections Act:

-Threatening to send the sheriff (they do not have the power to do this, and it is illegal for them to claim they will take any action against you which they know they won't or can't actually take)

-Calling back after you have told them not to call

-They are required to send a letter within 5 days of the phone call if you are determined to be the debtor

They called every day and left no messages and when I was able to answer they asked for someone that did not live in the house. I just called them back and they took my phone number off their list. We will see how it goes within the next week or so.

It said something to the effect of that it was acadamey services and was trying to reach a neighbor of mine. It gave his name and addy and gave me two options. The first was to help them and the second was to stop receiving the calls.

A recorded message: The lady asked if I could pass a message to "Eric W-----" a neighbor of mine about a outstanding lone or press 2 to remove my name from their list. Yep! I pressed 2 - the message said thanks and hung up. I hope I am finished with them.

Everyone needs to start keeping logs of who they speak to what they ask or say what time they called and how often and then report them. It is a $1000 fine for EACH offense payable to YOU by the offender!!

Called our company asking to speak to an employee in the plant. I told him that she was out in the plant. He said, well can you get her to the phone, this is an emergency. So I asked who was calling and he told me "It's none of your damn business who this is", so I said well then I can't get her to the phone, and I hung up on him. I could tell that it was a bill collector.

BOY ARE THEY THE RUDEST PPL! They were telling me that my nephew gave them this address and phone number and I told them NO HE DID NOT! And she said academy collections service and I was like hmm ya want money huh? well try again. Good luck. THEN I guess she thought she might have better luck with a second call and started yelling at me and told her he hasnt lived here and she told me those famous words "well pass this message along to him". Then she started saying that my nephew was lying. I was like look here B**** who do you think you are F off and all that junk and hung up. I think she got the message. They have been calling my home for about two weeks, every day, a few times a day. They are looking for "Roland Carion." Roland, are you out there?? Please call them back because they are starting to get on my nerves. They have the wrong number and they will not give up!

They leave a message daily stating they are trying to find a relative of mine and they leave the name of my sister-in-law. My number is unlisted. How the hell did they get my number????

These assholes called to today looking for someone that bought a house from me over 2 years ago. Said that he left my name and number as an emergency number. I don't even know the guy that bought the house. I told them that I didn't know the guy but he said that I had to know him because I was getting upset. They were total asses so I hung up.

Recieved a call from Sean ??? and was asking to talk to my brother who has not lived her for almost 2 years, asked if we could get a message to him, we told him we had no way to contact him, he said "You can't contact your own family member, this is an important matter"
My Mom hung up on him then they called back right away.
I answered and told them to not call this number again as my bother does not live here and we cant get ahold of him, he said to tell my Mom that she is a Very Rude woman" I told him "Scrub You" and hung up!

May be a scam. After reading this site I went and checked my credit history (using annualcreditreport.com) and it is as clean as I thought it was. I only have one item there and it is my bank account and it's in wonderful standing.

Don't let them get any money from you without doing some homework.

They "Academy Collections" as it appears on the caller id, have been calling every day for a week. I called this number back since they never leave a message. They asked for my social security number but I refused to give it. She said they were a collections agency for different companies. I told her that I have no bills in collections. She referenced my phone number and found a name for an Edward, something- I have never heard of this person before. I told her to stop calling my house, she became irrate and told me that she does not have to help me. I asked for her name, she responded very cocky with "Tara, do you want my birthdate too". I said that I should ask for her ss number too since she wanted mine. She then started yelling that I was harassing her and to "go sit in the corner, you are being bad". This immediately infuriated me. What nerve!!! I said to put her manager on the phone. She flat out refused and told me "No" while talking to someone in the background. She then hung up on me. I called right back and got the manager and she immediately put me on hold while, I assume, she was talking to the rep "Tara" because when she got on the line, she knew why I was calling but insisted she didn't know anything about my prior call and she proceeded to tell me "there's nothing I can do for you". So now I have a company calling and harassing me for somebody I've never heard of. Most umprofessional group of people I've ever dealt with.

Man with foreign accent asked for a person with a very similar name (same last name, but different first name BUT one that sounds like my 1st name). When I said there's no one there by "xx", but there IS someone named "yx" who is here and asked if he wanted her, then he said no thank you & hung up. No longer have caller ID so I had to *69 it.

You can't tell me that you're the only one in the world that has EVER had a good experience with them. Ha! I don't believe for one minute that you're a legitmate consumer that had bad debit and has been helped by these fools. It's out of character.

Yes they call my cell phone several times a day as well. They also call my mom, who is retired, has medical issues and is often sleeping. It rattles her terribly. They have also called my sister's mother-in-law who also has severe medical issues. I've talked to them once to try and tell them that I was going to declare bankruptcy but couldn't even get them to listen to me. Just started cursing at me and telling me to pay my debt. I had wonderful credit and a good job four years ago, got laid off and haven't found anything comparable to that salary since. I stayed afloat as long as I could but I no longer have the resources to pay anything owed to anyone. SH!T happens. So screw 'em. People don't generally stop paying their bills when there's money in the kitty.

I'm currently unemployed and collecting unemployment so quite frankly, at the moment, I'm collection proof. Screw 'em, screw 'em, screw 'em!

I have been receiving calls from this number as well. Fortunately, I have been dealing with the NICEST agent I have ever dealt with. Bill Thomas has been a dream to work with... This is a legit collection agency. If you work with them, they will work with you. My Sears Citibank card is getting paid off faster than I ever dreamed! I wish they could take care of my other accounts without it counting against me as a "collection" agency! They are actually helping me pay off my debt and every 3 months they call back with an offer to pay it all of at a lesser amount than what I owe. I might even be able to take them up on the offer this next time! How exciting!

I have been getting calls from these people as well today. I didn't make it to the phone to answer & by the time I did, they had left a RUDE message for someone that doesn't have anything to do with this number. Nick Marshall stated they were looking for Tracy Buckmann (not sure if spelling is correct), he left an 800# to call & a file # as well. Shoot I don't know if this person they are looking for is male or female. We have been getting tons of calls for about 6 different people that apparently had our number before us (we've had ours for a little over 1 year now). I keep telling them there is no one by those names, they say they will remove our number from their list but they continue to call on average of a dozen times 7 days a week. I called the phone company & explained what was going on, they changed my number immediately without charge. Hopefully this will work because this is nuts. Can't they be sued for harassment or something like that?? Who can we complain to to get some act done here?

These crazy folks are trying to get me to leave a message in the door for my neighbor. They say that it's VERY IMPORTANT and they must speak with her. After 3 calls to me and 5 calls to my mother-in-law (who is also a neighbor). I told them to call the sheriff to get a message to her if it's that important. They still call about once a week and leave the same message. It's getting old!

Received a phone call from them today (6-4-07) at 2:08pm EST. They left no message. Looking forward to speaking with them when I am home.

These little fraudsters called our unlisted number, i answered right away and they immediately hung up, obviously they don't know that PRANK CALLS are illegal in the state of Wisconsin. I called "Academy Services" back to find out what they wanted. They kept trying to get information out of me which I refused to even give them my name. They asked if I knew a "Patsy or Cathy" neither of whom I know. Then they forwarded me over to the complaint dept so I could leave them a scolding voicemail. If these scammers call again i'm filing with the police dept for harassment.

have recieved 20-30 calls, mostly nobody on the other end. One call had a female that didn't identify herself or the company wanting me to deliver an "urgent message" to someone I don't know. I asked her what the message was and she wouldn't tell me. I then asked if its so important to deliver this message, then why are they calling complete strangers to deliver it? She had no answer to my question and hung up. My caller ID had ACS and this #2153200424. I'm on the no call list but receive frequent calls from this number. They call me more than my own mother.

This is one of the Academy Collection Service numbers; they call at various times throughout the day and ask for Ricardo. I have no idea who this individual is. It's very annoying, as they are calling my cellphone and I am getting charged minutes every time they call, which is sometimes 3 or 4 calls a day.

I found a way to aggravate them back. When they call just say "meow" every time they say something. I've gotten up to 12 "meows" before they hang up. Beware they will say some pretty nasty stuff, but it is absolutely hilarious.

It's been 2 weeks now, every day in the morning they call and I asnwer, they don't say a thing. WTF

I think that this collection agency makes prank phone calls to get you mad enough to call them back...The guy that just called me was rude and ugly: "Hello"(me) nothing......."Is anyone there, can you speak english, Hello?"(me)..."I waiting for Corrin"(rep)"Who is this?"(me) "I need Corrin"(rep) "Who is this"(me)...Finaly he said "Fine if you want to play games it will all get charged."he hung up...ARGGG What will get charged??? Anyone have a message asking you to call 800-441-6881? I just looked up that 800 number here, and someone posted that the caller ID for the person leaving the 800 number was 215-320-0424. That brought me to this page. I have no clue what this is about but that was one freaky message. Said they would post a document on my door with orange tape. They would tape the entire door so people a mile away can see the orange colored tape and come see where the deadbeat lives. What? I have no clue what it is about. VERY WEIRD. And the person was getting all worked up as the message went on, getting louder and louder. It's a keeper. I'll play it at parties.

They have been calling me for six months, and I have yet to return one single call. Sometimes they leave a message, sometimes they don't. They are Academy Collection Services, but come off as thugs. By the comments posted on this, and other web sites, NEVER give them ANY information! Make them work harder for their money, or get fired.

Have received 4 phone calls looking for a Mary something-or-rather in the past week, repeatedly told wrong number. Answered today, heard a schpiel about litigation against me and I said "This is the 5th time I've told you wrong number, I'm not Mary and I've had this number for 13 years, never had a Mary in my house." He YELLED back, "well you never told ME personally you mouthy little bitch!!" To which I replied with an "f" bomb and he continually, loudly swore at me and I hung up. The same number called back twice immediately, and the same "business" name called back but with a different number 267-240-6936, I didn't answer any of those calls.

Do they ever stop calling?? They call everyday and I don't owe a dime to anyone! Of course, they hang up before saying a word. It's the strangest thing.

They call about average 9 times a day. Never leave a meassage and never disclose who they are or why they are calling. so screw them. glad I found this site.

Didn't tell me who they were, just said, "I recieved this number for a referral. Can I speak with Sherry B****t?" This is the second company looking for this woman. I explained to the caller that no one lives here by that name & this wasn't the first call I've gotten asking for her. Very weird...I've had the same # for over 5 years. I caller was very polite, and appologized, and hung up.

These people call about 15 times everyday. They leave short ugly messages. One this evening was more like a threat out of a Horror Movie. These guys are sick and perverted, they really should get a new act.
The tactics used are old and boring, maybe a cleaning job at the zoo would better suit their intellect. DO NOT give these people ANY of your information, and DO NOT allow them to shock you!

Receive numerous calls from this number. Usually they just hang up on me and if I don't answer they don't leave any message. Today when I answered an woman, who identified herself as "Anita Cruz" asked that my husband call her back and left the number 800-220-0605 X4418. Based on what I have read on here, we won't bother calling back.

I also forgot to mention that they will leave a number, but when you call the number and dial the extension, it doesn't do anything!

This agency has been calling both my cell phone AND my work number that is shared between five other people. I work for a state agency and it is illegal for them to call that number. I even had my supervisor answer the phone and tell them this and they ignored him! So now we either hang the phone up on them, let it go to voicemail, or have some fun. But they are cranky and tend to curse a lot. How appropriate for a collection agency! It seems like they will call my cell phone around 0730CST and then my work phone around 1500CST. They are crazy..

It is a nightmare of a place that I never imagined could be doing business the way they are because of existing laws and regulations covering third-party collections. The other crimes being committed on a daily basis were just as mind boggling to me: drug dealing and drug use definitely being at the top of the list -- all being done very openly and with the knowledge of all who work there. Academy management regularly demanded it's collectors to change dates of deposit on posted-dated check-by-phone payments in order to look better and appear more productive to their clients. How were they able to do that in this day and age?...The daily routine at Academy Collection Service is extremely bad and very illegal and something needs to be done about it!"

Like most debt collection agencies, Academy Collection Service makes more money when they DON’T abide by the law as detailed in this email from a former employee:

“I was employed as a collector at Academy from **/**/ thru */**/ when I was fired. The reasons for my being terminated had everything to do with my unwillingness to violate FDCPA regulations as I was expected to at Academy. Every word I have read about Academy online (all of it very negative) is completely accurate. I began keeping an informal log of each time I witnessed an FDCPA violation, other crimes being committed in the office, unethical/illegal demands placed on collectors by management, etc., and I stopped after reaching 150 violations in less than one week. She asked for someone that I knew and if I would give them his phone number..when I said, "no" she asked if I would pass on a message for him to call them. Her name was "Susan White" and it concerned a "professional business matter" I laughed and hung up.

These guys are crazy.They will call your neighbors,parents,grandparents etc.Told my grandmother (97 years old) that I was on that catch a pervert show with Chris Hanson of Dateline!If she didn't give them my number,more little children will get molested.Do not answer their call they are nuts.

The number 215-320-0424 has been calling both my home phone and cell phone numerous times throughout the day and the lady on the other end said that a complaint has been file against me and I know for certain this is not the case. She was also very rude. I pretended to be the sister because I had no idea who it was and she said, "Well sister, tell your sister to call us back. Read back to me the phone number I just told you. Okay well make sure she calls us by 4 o'clock today!" And then she hung up abruptly! She made it sound like she was an attorney and calling for a client.

These people are stalking me. They call my cell multiple times a day and when I answer they hang up. So I call back and they are the rudest people on earth. Yes I have an old debt, but no i dont have the money to pay it in full and they wont accept anything less. OH and they told me they would send the sheriff out with a summons. LOL!

I keep getting calls from them and they are swearing and saying horrible things to me. I checked them out and they are a scam company. the only thing you can do is call them back and complain or write to them on their web site. also log down eveytime they call. and talk to an attorney. You can actually sue them for calling you.

I am getting harrassing phone calls repeadedly from this number, no one is there when I answer. It's my CELL number...how did they get it? I got 2 calls from them during a meeting yesterday, less than 1 hour apart. This has been going on for months and when I call them, they put me on hold and transfer me around. I don't want to waste my time or minutes on these people and I am very frustrated.

Academy Collections is also Citi Financial Services which is also CitiBank. Put them in a bag and shake it up, pull one out, you will have a thief. Look on the back of every credit card you have to find out if it is a CitiBank Card and destroy it. Encourage others to do the same.

I got a call from these guys today looking for a woman (not me). I called the guy back and told him that there is noone here by that name and he said thank you and hung up. I just wanted them to know that they had the wrong phone number and name.

Collection call. Legitimate collection call, but annoying. Uses threats of sending sheriff to home. Blah, blah.

I was on the other line so didn't answer this call. I decided to return the call just to see what the heck it was all about. Lady says they are looking for someone named "John Sell" (not sure the spelling of the last name) When I told her there was no one by that name here, she sent me through to the complaint department. Got answering machine of some lady; said to leave my number & the person who they were looking for so they could remove my number from their system. It better happen!!!!!!

They called and tried to collect a debt that my son owes to CitiBank. I agreed to pay then stopped payment on an electronic transfer from my checking account after finding out that they are frauds. They went ahead and changed the amount of the electronic transfer and used check #00 and tried to run it thru. Needless to say, there weren't enough funds in the account and I was charged for NSF. I think that is fraud. Now they call daily and threaten to sue me for writing them a bad check, so to speak. DO NOT deal with these phony people!

These people called my cell phone f times with an hour and half. The messages they left were rude to say the least. How can we stop them from calling. Not only is it annoying but they are wasting my minutes for trivial crap.

These idiots will auto dial any number that think might be their debtor.They claim to be a buyer of charged off debit,they aren't.It is a collection agency owned by Citibank so they can have an outside agency violate the Fair credit and collection practices Act without recourse against Citibank.Even when you tell them you won't be passing any messages to your neighbor,your brother,the homeless guy that lives under the bridge etc. They will continue to harass you in attempt to turn you into their messenger.Do not talk to them,they are a criminal organization, not a legit collection operation.

i get a call from the, the phone goes dead, then i call back i get nowhere i was on hold for more than 10 minutes i hung up, they left me a message, and it was not in english, what do they want? collection agency? whom are they colllectiong from i owe nothing, i even went to check my credit report. why do they not have messasges recorded in english, are we not in USA? is english not the internaitonal lanaguage or the first langauage of this country?

It's annoying. I answer (if I'm home, which I was not today) and it's dead air for three seconds, then their end disconnects.

I sometimes receive this call multiple times in a single day! When I answer it, they usually just hang up after 3 seconds or less.
