how the hell do these people get private cell phone #s? Theyve called twice and asked me to hold. asses.

These people are up to something, and I'm sure it's no good.

They called me on my cell...I didn't recognize the number, so I didn't answer. It is a number linked to Dallas, Texas. They left no message. Jackasses!

I also received this call. I don't believe there is anything you can do. Don't answer a number if you don't recognize it.

They keep calling me at work, don't even think they are actually calling "me" just who whoever is at my extension. Today I "remained on the line" to talk to a representative. Then, heard that the "represenative' was unavailable, and that the mailbox was full. Sure it was, sure.

Telemarketers "pitching" affordable healthcare! Sounded like a senator, the way it was presented! More of the same! I would like to know why the registry for the "DO NOT CALL" will allow such nonsense!

@John and travellinpat: From auto warranty scams to health insurance to anti-government healthcare advocacy... you know, I think this isn't a company or org. at all. Most likely a boiler room telemarketer company hired by [insert some other name here] to cold-call everyone on a list. So shouldn't they obey the Federal Do Not Call list?

The call was regarding "a last chance to lower my credit card's interest rate. Since I already have a low rate I thought nothing of it. I should have "gotten more information" to sort out the who and why questions. Scary to think of how many people do and then "validate" their SSN, DOB, etc, with whom ever is eventually on the other end of the call.

Got a call just a few minutes ago but did not answer the call. Tried calling it back but got a recording saying it's an invalid number. Telemarketing of some sort I'm sure!

I did not answer the call from 214-221-9430 but called it back and the recording states "This is not a working number." I reverse looked up the number and only one apparently bogus phone book has it listed to Joseph Wyatt , 12835 Jupiter Rd, Dallas, TX 75238, (214) 221-9430. This "reverse lookup" service also has this fictional Joseph graduating class of 1991 in Dallas, Tx. Apparently whoever is pirating this landline to read on their business calls has made a cr@ppy attempt to set up a little depth for this false identity. I saved it as "Not a working number" on my contact list and just won't answer it in the future.

These morons have switched from selling bogus auto warranties to selling bogus health insurance policies. Bunch of bottom feeding scum. I told the woman who called that it is illegal for her to call my corporate phone. She laughed and said there is nothing I can do. Maybe a call to the consumer fraud division of the state attorney general office.

I would like to know how they got my number,I only gave it out to immediate family members. So much for privacy!!!

Now these people are calling me on my cell phone. I ask how did they get this number abd not call again the lady on the other just laughed. Then she hung up on me.

I didn't even listen to the message. This #$%& called on my cel phone -- so I had to pay a minute's worth just to hear "This is a public service announcement." My husband said it was a right-wing goofball organization, who had also called his office, saying Obama's health plan would lead the U.S. into communism. Where did they get my number anyway?

"Marco no last name" called to consolidate and lower my credit card debt. I asked for some basic information before discussing such things over the phone.
me: What is the company?
marco: MSC.
me: What does that stand for?
marco: Mutual Consolidated Savings.
me: What is your corportate address?
marco: Did you want to lower your credit card rates?
me: Yes but I do needs some basic information like you corporate address.
marco: I don't have that information.
me: I will wait.
marco: I will call you back with that "click"

I am going to wait for marc to call back and DoDo will walk the earth again.

The reason they are calling cell numbers is due to auto-dialer. If you don't have voice mail and don't pick it up, the number will eventually appear as a 'dead' number.

I don't answer any calls at my lan or cell number I don't recognize and I don't have voice mail. Eventually, they give up. Once you call them back, you're in the system as a 'live' number.

THE LADY I TALKED TO SAID THEY WERE BASED OUT OF HOUSTON, TEXAS. HER NAME WAS BRITNEY. THERE NUMBER IS 281-657-9499 IF SOMEONE WANTED TO CALL THEM AND BUG THEM. HA HA

COSTING ME MONEY EVERYTIME THESE A-HOLES CALL MY PHONE. HOW DID THEY GET OUR CELL # ANYWAYS.

So now they are pitching fake health plans - my State Attorney General loves to nail these people to the wall - can't wait until they call another Congressional rep with this one so they can be ordered to stop. Of course the irony would be that all reps get free health care for life so no need to call them!

Just called by this # for some Healthcare Plan. I get a lot of these calls so this time I decided to play along and see who they were. Talked to a guy whos name was Larry. After the sales pitch I asked if I could call him back so he gave me his # at 281-657-9499 x1072. He also gave me their website: familycarecard.com. I reported it to our State's Attorney General. They have been really good at sueing companies like this.

I am getting calls from this number. They never leave anything on VM.
I am getting calls from this number at least 5 times a day. I am tempted not to answer when I see it on caller ID, but I don't want to risk getting complacent and missing a real call from a number that looks similar.

I work in a small business with three lines and our phone lines are swamped daily with sales calls. This number calls constantly. I need to stop these.

I already pressed "2" to remove my number from another number they called from & yet they still call. When will something be done about these harassing calls? This was about an auto warranty expiring. does not apply to me because my car is a paid off '97. Not to mention my cell number was only given to family & close friends for emergencies. Who do we contact to get these calls to stop?
