Phone number 213-550-4612 DOES NOT belong to Source Receivables Management. I spoke to two representatives at the phone number this morning. According to those representatives, the company at that phone number is F. S. Mediation & Legal Services. I do not know the nature of the company services or the phone calls.

"Source Receivables Management" left a message on my answering machine (my answering machine fields ALL calls). The caller ID showed 213-550-4612. The call-back number was 866-522-7588.

Mike, NCO is like every other high volume collection agency with a history of lawbreaking. They assume you are just another liar who is harboring the mystery person like a fugitive. They will never, ever accept your story while you persist in relying on verbal demands to stop calling.

To a ''not me'' case I always recommend putting the agency on notice, just as you would if you were the target and the debt claim was invalid. Send a cease-comm notice via USPS Certified with return card. The FTC and many consumer watchdogs explain how to draft one. This will set a legal landmine, as such a notice is ignored at their peril.

Everyone else can learn how to exercise your FDCPA rights as an alleged debtor at FTC-dot-gov. See also if your state laws are stronger.

They keep calling asking for "Jessica Williams" --- I asked them if I sounded like a "Jessica" ?!?!?!?
They won't stop calling no matter how many times I tell them that they have the WRONG NUMBER !!! I don't even know anybody named Jessica. I checked to see if there had ever been anybody with that name in my Apartment, but the complex manager said the last guy that lived here was an old retired metal worker named "Daniel" and he lived here for 8 years and then died --- so, NO JESSICA HERE !!! NO JESSICA EVER HERE !!! QUIT CALLING ME !!!!!!!!!!!!!

These jerks are calling the wrong number and have no idea that the poor guy they calling is a reporting all calls to the FTC. lol

How do I stop them from calling?

  1. Ask the unwanted caller to stop calling and put you on their do not call list (they are legally required to comply).
  2. If your number is registered with the National Do Not Call Registry you can file a complaint with the FTC.
  3. Block them with a call blocker or something like Nomorobo.
