How do I stop them from calling?
- Ask the unwanted caller to stop calling and put you on their do not call list (they are legally required to comply).
- If your number is registered with the National Do Not Call Registry you can file a complaint with the FTC.
- Block them with a call blocker:
Uniden DECT1288 blocks up to 20 numbers, plus Private and Unknown, with the reject tone, without ringing the phone.
Panasonic KX-TG106 blocks up to 30 numbers, plus all unidentified callers, with a busy tone, after the phone rings once.
JF Teck Caller ID with Ring Controller blocks up to 70 numbers, and can be set to always allow up to 100 to ring through.

I pressed "1" to talk to a rep and was immediately disconnected. I won't answer again.
We do not own any vehicles that would even be new enough to qualify in any such warranty offers
How do I stop the repeated calls from this number, 214-416-2888
They call every day and play this automated message. I tried getting through to a rep (it says press 1) so I could tell them to remove my name but no one answers.
I got a call from this number once a day for the last 4 days. I don't answer it, and the caller leaves no message. When I called the number, there was a pre-recorded message that says, "Thank you for calling us back. In a moment, we will make this the most exciting..." at that point I hung up. I called annonymously, but they still thanked me for calling them "back."
Anyway, sounds like phone solicitation which is in violation of the Do Not Call list. I know it's futile to report them, but I will do it anyway... so here we go again. I wonder who actually takes these kinds of calls and makes it profitable for telemarketers continue.
Getting the expired car warranty scam phone call on my cell phone
I wasn't here when they called and they did not leave a message. I would have answered to get some information as to why they were calling. My number is on the do-not-call list so I'm sure they wouldn't be calling to sell me vehicle warranty insurance - would they? Guess I will have to wait until they call again to see what they wanted. I have to admit that I'm surprised that they are actually sending the Auto Warranty identification for the caller id display. Probably trying to change their image.
calling cell phones. On do not call list. My phone registered to a hospital Frequent calls. Large internet archive of this callers abuse. Will report this issue my very very powerful hospital resources to address the problem.
Autodailer call about extending auto warranty (bogus, because I haven't had a warranty for years). Filed complaint at esupport.fcc.gov
OK... I called the number back.. thats how they get around it.. You called them
back and the recording gives you the schpeal... listen to it for a minute, she will ask you to "press one" if you want to be removed from the list.. also that you had to have approved for them to call in the first place by taking an online survey or something to that effect.. press one folks and you'll be removed from their list within 10 days.. it's that simple.. and quit participating in online crap that ask for you phone numbers !! :) Have a great new years.. Regards, Smitty
They called at 9:00 in the morning and someone was coughing in the background, then they hung up - I'm going to call them back on my friends cell phone at midnight this weekend................
This automated bot dialer just called a 1-888 business number. I chose option 1 to talk to a live rep & before I could finish a sentence to let them know their bot is calling a toll free business numbers he hung up on me.
your car warranty is about to expire. we don't have a car warranty
Got a call from 213-416-2888 and they said nothing but could hear a guy coughing in the background. When I called back got a recorded message if I want to make money etc. Sounds like a scam.
These bottom feeders need to get a life! Probably a scam of some sort Reported the call to the Do Not Call List.
i did not answer but the caller id said auto warranty i'm glad i did not answer because stupid me i year ago i accepted the auto warranty i was told it be 430.00 and i thought what a great deal yeah right well i got some paper work in a week but and in the the paper work it said the auto warranty was 1800.00 and the 430.00 was a down payment in the mean time i cancelled ,well i never was refunded the 430.00 . the people i talked to were rude and i told them they were liars.so don't get scam by this number.
I signed up for "do not call" with gov't.
These people have been harassing us for 3 to 3 weeks re: Auto warranty .
We don't even own a newer car.
BACK OFF
Can't believe that this call came through showing Auto Warranty on the caller ID. Is this a new twist to trying to sell unwanted or unneeded vehicle warranties? Anyway I wasn't here to answer the phone and they didn't leave a message. Better luck next time.
Automated female voice, to extend auto warranty
call to cell phone - did not answer
Received several "unknown" phones this past week. I do NOT answer.
Internet look-up said Paetec Communications- Los Angeles I'll not answer next time!
I have no idea why we were called. We have not applied for any loans. Sounds like a scam to me, possibly a "phishing" operation.
I wish the National Do Not Call List meant something. I'm so sick of these bottom feeders.
Loan Processing - no voice message.
Me Too. I won't answer
I see Red Rock is listed as a caller. This is my company and not my phone number. I have to idea what is going on!
Over the last month or more this company calls with automated recording about 3-4 times a week saying auto loan is approved. I havent applied for any auto loans.
calling by that number, but nobody talked
Computer 3rd time called saying I have been approved for a loan. A lot of good the no call list does me.
the automated voice saying that i have a loan waiting to be approved, but didn't say the company/bank name of which is calling from. I think it's a scam.
