In fact on 12/15/08 at aprox 9:45pm Estern time one of their supervisors, Mr. Chan, refused to remove me from the list even though I informed they are calling for the wrong person/wrong number. I see many others have the same ongoing concerns! I recieved two calls with in 5 mins. from each other! I answered the first, with no answer!

A consistantly annoying recorded call that I hang up on ASAP. They call day and night... no idea why, since I never heard of them before.

I called them from my house phone to tell them if they didn't stop calling my cell phone I'd report them to the FTC. They stopped calling that number and started calling my house number so I went to Walmart and bought a whistle. I called them all day back to back and when they answered I blew the whistle. my number is in a computer that calls every month for an entire week and says nothing. I called this busi to inform them that I DON'T HAVE AN ACCT WITH THEM and to take my number off their records. I doubt it but it seems to be that one of the features of future telphony should be ability to set up something similar to a spam filter.

She said it was a federal law she could not give me any information. Was rude and hung up on me. Called back and spoke with male name unknown. He said he could not tell me anything and could not tell me what the company does. He said he would take my parents number out of their system. He also said he could not give me any information because of federal law. Hope not to hear from him again.

The computer from this number keeps calling us. No ever answers when you wait to talk to some one. They Called the last time on a Saturday at 11am. To report something like this call you state Licensing Dept. If a bill collection agency dose not have the proper license they can be fined, and in some states your attorney general can sue them on your behalf. You can also sue them for harassment if they call more than 3 times a week, or if they continueally call your place of employement. Each state has a code of conduct for collection agencies You can recieve the information for free just ask them to send it to you. You fill out a form and they handle the rest. I have contacted them to get information to pay a collection debt they say my wife owes and they refuse to give me a "pay to the order of." They say, "You can do it over the phone." when I tell them not only am I PAYING for this long distance call and refuse to do it over the phone and would like to know who I am paying the check out to, they refuse as well or say they will call back and do not until I am at work much later. This is harrassment but I believe the collection is genuine because my wife had an account through who they claim to be collecting for. I have called the Dept of Ed to complain. I have also complained to the Ala. AG (my caller was based in Mobile). This is ridiculous!

It's a collection agency. Don't wait until you get turned doen for credit before you find out what they have on you!

Called looking for an old partner of mine who is now in fed prison. haven't seen him since 1999. What the heck!!!

We have been harassed with calls from this number for about a week now. We barely found out that it is regarding regarding an overdrawn Wells Fargo account that was paid in full at a branch, just two weeks ago. Wells Fargo has seemed to have forgotten to contact these debt collectors and notify them that the debt has been paid. So, now I have to take time out of my day AGAIN to contact Wells Fargo and let them figure out how to notify their collection agency to quit calling us.

She left another 800 number for me to call (800-694-1502). Then she didn't even hang up after finishing her message. When she finished talking, I just got a bunch of background noise. Crazy.

They are harassing my dad, because I made the mistake of putting his name down as an emergency contact when I applied for a Discover card. Evidently, Discover works with West management. I wrote a letter of complaint to Discover, the Minnesota Attorney General, and the BBB. Amazingly, they called my dad again. The Attorney General wrote Discover and told them to respond within 10 business days. The lady accused my dad of being me (my middle name is his first name), and then asked for his SSN! I also filed a complaint on ftc.gov.

I got an automated message when I answered the phone about returning a call to 800-833-5882 concerning my debt collection. I didn't call back because I'm debt free. Plus I just saw a news report on TV last week about this exact scam. If you return the call, it'll put you into a loop where they call more often. I got this call at work at about 4:35pm EST.

Kept calling my home number about a month ago. When I finally answered they asked for my husband Capital One account that he doesn't have. She veried that my husband was in fact not the person she was looking for and the calls stopped. I just received another call today and have not been able to reach an actual person.

My line is a business line and clearly states MY name in the voicemail and the business I work for, yet this caller called repeatedly. I don't have credit or debt problems, live cross continent and have no business with a collections company! Quit calling.

I had recently purchased an investment property from an individual experiencing personal/financial issues. I got a call from this nunber from a very rude person looking for the previous owner of the property. Once I expalined that I wasn't who they were looking for and didn't know how to contact him, I stopped receiving the calls. I just irked that they got my number.
