Who Called Us

Caller ID shows that call were made today at 10am, 10:31am, 11:02am and 11:32am. The phone called had no answering machine/voicemail.

I got two calls from 208-656-4565 at 11:50 am and 11:55 ub May 21, 2010. I said nothing the first time and they hung up after a few minutes. They called right back with a pre-recorded name of some policitcal candidate who will be in my area of Albuquerque, NM tomorrow. Never heard of the guy. I am on the DNC list and it doesn't work.

Warning-Avoid answering phone when this number appears. This is a "phon-ishing data mining, preliminary probe call. It is believed to be one of the newest devices used to create call lists which are then sold to anybody that is willing to pay roughly .70 cents USA for 200 "active and recently answered phone lines". Anybody can buy these lists and sinsnce they are made using devious methods one can only imagine who is buying them!

HGot a call from 208-565-4565, and when I asked for more info, anter depressing #1, the girl hung up on me. I pressed the number for remove my name/number from call list and they still call me.

These idiots called us 3 times in a row, 1 hour apart, on Dec 23. The telespammers are out in full force this Christmas.

called me bout 15 minutes ago and didn't leave a message. i figured they were a phishing/scamming call as i didnt recognize the number.

Unknown name - "Warning! Your new car warranty is about to expire!" Total B.S. Our warranty expired long ago.

again a robo-call to my cell phone number - released to the general public by AT&T (I do not give out my number - ever)

Third call from this number in the past month. I'm in southern Ontario Canada and got a pre-recorded message informing me that "my car warranty was due to expire" and that I should have my "vehicle warranty number ready" for some "great deals" on "car warranty extensions". I don't own a car. When I pressed 1 to speak to a live person, I told the male who answered that it was the third time I'd requested that this number be taken off their call list and he simply hung up on me. To tell you the truth, he sounded like he was wasted on something or at least dead drunk. Judging by the other entries here regarding this number and the great variety of purported "services" that are being offered, I'd suggest that someone is persistently up to no good and perhaps it is time that law enforcement really should look at these guys a little more closely.

Waited until my voice-mail greeting finished and started recording then "click".. hung up.

Called my home line last night, and both my home and business lines this afternoon. I can't stand these intrusive charlatans.

"(208) 656-4565 is Unpublished or Unavailable". This company has recently been discussed in the Action Line column in our newspaper. It is a scam, run by a company that does not adhere to the DNC rules. Why would anyone do business with an underhanded company? This number also cannot be called back, it is listed as "not in service" so they are using servers that can be programmed to send caller ID as anything they want. Yes, the Do Not Call list does not work.

automated call 12/8/2008 PM, claiming to offer carpet cleaning, one of many, many similar ones over the last year or so. This one had a (claimed) caller ID number, unlike previous ones. I'm on the do not call list, but they don't seem to care. The only carpet cleaning company I've done business with in my whole life doesn't resort to crap like this, and certainly doesn't need to use out-of-state phone numbers.

I reported this same company here on this website back on 11/13. We are still on the do not call list. I pressed 1 to talk to someone and this time I was not disconnected but reached a voicemail instead. I left our phone number and let them know we're on the national do not call list. What I don't understand is how any business thinks they're going to gain a client by a prerecorded message and a caller ID number that doesn't go anywhere. No legitimate business would ever fall for such crap.

National Sports Betting Center. After a slight delay, an automated recording comes on about football picks, and press one to get this guy's football picks. I am guessing it is coming from overseas (Idia perhaps). JUNK!!!!

Call came from 208-656-4565 and began "attention business owner...". This was the 2nd time they called today. I pressed 1 to hopefully speak with someone or at least to learn the name of the company but after pressing 1 the call was disconnected. I filed a complaint with the Do Not Call registry, which all 11 of our phone lines are registered with.

Did not recognize the number so I didn't pick up. After reading this forum, I'm glad I didn't.
