Third call in three weeks, a different caller i.d. number each time.

Kenny, as SemperFi and Ruthe have noted, the ''doubt and misinformation'' is not about a push poll but clouding the issue of compliance with the Telemarketing Sales Rule and the express wishes of everyone who has a number registered on federal Do Not Call. For the record, these pests are unquestionably lawbreakers. See my notes from a month ago, linked below.

These folks, whose caller ID is usually Ind Sur Group, have LOTS of different numbers. They claim to be, but are not, a political survey. Also use area codes 425 and 360, and 503. July 5. Atlanta, GA area.

These types of "surveys" have the questions carefully designed to plant doubt and misinformation in your mind in order to influence your vote in the upcoming elections. They could care less about your answers.

Go AWAY you freakin' idiots. Got another call with the same caller i.d. but a different number.

2012-07-09 21:26:28 UTCrankle

The "election survey" pitch is just a way to avoid FTC do not call penalties. This is a scam operation trying to sell you a worthless / bogus " vacation cruise". Avoid at all costs, and do not give them any information !!!!

Keep calling and I keep ignoring...the cycle continues.

I give no answers to any surveys unless I am paid cash up front, why should I answer guestiions for free so caller can make money on phone line I PAY for? No takers yet.

2012-07-06 03:47:17 UTCNadja Meyer

so far they have called 40 times in 20 minutes even though i requested to be removed the first call and they are still calling

2012-07-06 01:31:16 UTCALAN

I added them to my "block caller" list on my Call Screen, next time they call Call Screen will ring once to let me know they are being hung up on. Not that it will do any good. :(

Independent Survey Group; Recording came on when I answered. They wanted me to answer some questions about the upcoming election and I would be able to get a free cruise.

Same flaming dickheads that call my cell phone every day now when I am at work. These folks are NOT a legit political survey company, folks... they are trying to SELL you a FREE cruise with high port fees, etc. They are scammers, do not answer their calls, do not call them back, and for sure do not punch the number to put you on their "don not call" list. That just confirms that your number is real and you can expect a high number of calls from them after that. These dickheads also keep changing their calling number. Same area code and prefix, but they must have bought a block of 1000 numbers to call from. The one that gets shut down today will just be a different number tomorrow. Assholes!

Calls once a week but never leaves message

2012-07-05 17:35:48 UTCRob

Many calls from this number on my two cell phones and home phone. These are political surveys and a complete waste of time. After answering the first call a few weeks ago I now just let the phones ring.

How do I stop them from calling?

  1. Ask the unwanted caller to stop calling and put you on their do not call list (they are legally required to comply).
  2. If your number is registered with the National Do Not Call Registry you can file a complaint with the FTC.
  3. Block them with a call blocker:
