I get several calls from different variations of the 205 area code number. They call several times a day, never leave a message...I got 3 calls from them within 2 minutes of not answering. The next time they call, they'll wish they had left a voicemail.
I just put the number in my phone number reject list of my cell phone. The calls were frequent (three within 10 minutes). They did leave a message asking me to call them about an important matter - and that it was not a sales or solicitation call. However, they did not identify what organization they were making calls for --- so I did not return the call. I deleted the message and I'm a little hazy or the details, but they gave a toll free no and I think said I should speak to Jessica(?).
I kept getting missed calls on my cell for this number 205-313-2640 and 205-313-2601 with no message left. I finally got tired of who was calling and so I dialed the number and "Shante" answered. I told her I keep getting calls from this number and she told me they were looking for a "Bernard". I asked her don't they even listen to the voice mail to see if they are calling the right person and she said no. I told her to stop calling my cell as there is no "Bernard" and that I was going to send them a bill for wasted minutes on my cell. She gave me their address in Birmingham, AL and the company name is Amsher.
I've been getting calls from this number saying that it's very important that Iget in touch with them, then they give me an 800 number. They never said the company or what they want or who the message is for. I could intercept a message meant for someone else.I don't answer calls if I don't know the person. This is the third day they have called and the first time they've left a message. The other number I was told to call was 800 246 9590. Who are these ppl and what to do they want?
I am sick and tired of them, I wish they would stop haarassment, they have been calling the same number for 2years,I just let it ring,or sometime I pick and hang back up. they try to be slick .they use 1800-7417146,205-313-2601.
VERY VERY RUDE SAID IT THE NAME IS A BABY PUT THE BABY ON THE PHONE
This is for 100% sure the collection agency amsher.com. I know because on 2/27 they did a hard pull on my credit report and calls from this number immediately started. Amsher is the preferred collector for T-Mobile. I owe money to them. As someone else mentioned, never deal with a bill collector over the phone, to which I'll add unless the call is recorded. Exercise your rights provided under the Fair Credit Reporting Act (FCRA) and Fair Debt Collection Practice Act(FDCPA), google these terms. You can send a legal demand in writing blocking them from calling you. Bottom feeders such as Amsher will almost always accept a percentage settlement on account, as they pay around 10-20 cents on the dollar for the right to collect on your debt.
We received calls from this number daily but never leave messages. one time I picked up the phone and asked them not to call again. the guy was so rude, said he's collection agent and and insist I am someone whom I have no idea.
I received this as well a few times a day. They are a collection agency. What they do is put a town, last name a first letter of the person they are looking for. The computer literally dials everyone with the last name and first letter that matches until they find the person. You have to answer and tell them its not you. Or call them back and they immediately know what number you calling from and ask for that person, you then can tell them its not you.
Seven calls over the past two days--not one message.
This agency calls me at least once a day. I called them back, and they told me that I owe money for T-mobile. I never received anything from T-mobile or any other agency stating that I owe them money. The woman was very rude, and told me that they would not send out another statement stating how much I owed and why. I do not know what to do now because these people will not leave me alone, and I am not paying for something, when I know I did not receive anything in the mail about it!
They called and were looking for someone with a name similar to mine for bill collection. They stop calling for a few weeks then start up again.
i live in another state but they have called my parents house 15 times over a week, leaving irritating automated voice messages. hopelfully i can take care of these, so no more dumb calls.
These guys are simply pirates.
YOU DO NOT OWE THEM ANYTHING!!
Never give out any information over the phone.
If their request is valid, it must be done through the mail, and request validation of the supposed debt.
These guys buy credit accounts for pennies on the dollar, and have no information to back up why you owe THEM money.
Hell if I called you and said pay me $500 now or else what would you do??
Make them prove the debt by mail only, that is your right under the law.
Do some research on the web about your rights and never ever talk to these bottom feeders on the phone
They will give up sooner or later.
They deal in cell phone accounts.
I would greatly appreciate if these people would stop calling I don't know who theyt are trying to reach but its not me.What type of company is this??
At least once per day. Sometimes twice. Jessica wants me to call an 800 number but won't say why. I have excellent credit and a very common name.
non stop calls
at least 2 times a day
A person named Shawn called me from ACS on 12/18/2006 and yes it is a bill collector. Was trying to get me to pay foe a T-mobile cell phone bill. I will pay it but, can't right now because I have no job. The # that came up on the ID was 205 313-2601 give a 800# 1 800 246-9590
This is the first time they have tried calling me. I didn't answer the call. Not sure who they are????
Same as everyone above. I don't think American Cancer Society would keep calling like that. They call my alternate number that I use as a fax, so every time the fax picks up--but they don't get it. Must be daily they call me. I thought the ACS might be some sort of collection service. Anyone know?
The recording says that the name is Jessica. My called ID says ACS.
They call everyday. I am extremely frustrated that they are calling every day and not letting me know who they are.
ACS could be American Cancer Society. I just got a call from them today, but I did not answer.
This person calls everyday and the recording says the name Jessica. Does anyone know what ACS is?
Just wanted to know if this is a tele-marketing, collection agency or other.
Whoever this is calls at least every other day asking for someone who does not live here. For some reason they keep calling back. I told them today that the person does not live here and to please stop calling.
