It would seem that the "ladies" you all spoke to weren't ladies. Far from it actually :(

when the answering machine picks up they don't leave a message. You can hear the open air, and then the phone hangs up.

They used yet another cell phone number to call me at 8pm tonight: 203-584-5201

They keep getting new cell phone numbers every few days.

This was an automated call about a 3rd and final notice regarding a credit card. I didn't listen to the rest of the message, just hung up. CID indicates it's from a cell phone.

Telemarketer automated call. I pressed [1] to speak to a rep and asked for the name of the business. The lady was extremely rude, chewed me out and then went on with her sales pitch to reduce my credit card debt. I asked her again for her business name and she hung up on me. I'm on the Do Not Call list, so I reported the business.

The caller-id shows "Cell Phone", yet I'm sure they just put that text string (called spoofing) so I would answer the phone. After that, I hear something about my credit card, this being the third call and final notice, and that they have mailed me notices... so I pressed 1 to ask them who they were and why they were calling. After trying to ask them a couple of questions, the gentleman hung up on me. He refused to say who he was, who the company is, where they are located, etc.

Definitely a total scam wasting our telephone lines capacity with junk calls that no one wants. And those who do "sign up" with them and buy their promises without finding out who the company really is will lose their financial credit rating and probably thousands of dollars piped into some Nigerian bank scam. Definitely beware!!!

This is an illegal telemarketing call focusing on lowering credit card rates. I pressed 1 to tell them the call was illegal, and spoke with some lady who would NOT listen to me and kept on going on about how they can lower my credit card rate. She would not listen to anything I asked and I hung up on her. Total scam telemarketing.

Call appears to be from a cell phone. The message left indicated something {unintelligible} about my annual credit card account.

How do I stop them from calling?

  1. Ask the unwanted caller to stop calling and put you on their do not call list (they are legally required to comply).
  2. If your number is registered with the National Do Not Call Registry you can file a complaint with the FTC.
  3. Block them with a call blocker:
