What the fuck?? I just got this recorded call asking me if I voted and then asked who I voted for!! Who are these idiots? Dumb fucks must not know that the election is OVER and it does not matter who I voted for since again the election is OVER!!!!!!

Caller ID = UNAVAILABLE. Well, I was unavailable for their call, but I answered anyway (but never said "Hello"). Because they called during the news hour, I simply put my phone near the TV's speaker and let the caller listen to the TV. I never talked to them; only put the phone to my ear; only held it next to the TV speaker. After a couple of minutes, I hung up. They hadn't hung up on me, so they must have enjoyed listening to the news!

"Hello this call is from the National Opinion Surveys Organization. This is not a sales call and your responses will remain annonymous. I have a few question about the issues in your area in our country and will take no longer than 5 minutes." These are recorded questions where you answer by providing input from the phone keypad. If you input something other than what the computer is expecting the message starts over again. Was working on my PC so I had a little time between keystrokes so I kept giving invalid inputs. Finally had to give up after 31 minutes of preventing them from annoying other people.

Called 4 times in 46 minutes. Go away!!

Female voice said national @@@@@ survey this is not a sales call but we are looking for your opinion on @@@@@ issues asked question I couldn't understand with several options for answers. Pause then a beep. Male voice says that is not a valid answer. Of course not machine voice, I'm not home. Female voice starts question ove but answering machine ran out of patience and disconnected the call. @@@@@= unintelligible words.

Robo Call. Credit card scam. Fake political survey. Fake free cruise offered. If you pay the processing fee, your card will be charged to the limit. ANswering or attempting to opt out tells their system that a human answered, and they sell your information to other scams.

Have no idea who this is but have had them call me 4 times in the last 45 minutes. I have the number blocked for a long time and all they get is a busy signal but did talk to someone who had gotten this call about 5 minutes before I did and she said it is a recoding and she hung up so have no idea what it is about. I can bet I will get it again in about 10 minutes.

I received a call from a company that said they were researching the presidential election and wanted my opinion 7:10 pm PST Thursday night, April 18, 2012.

They asked if Obama was doing a good job. I could select 1: Yes 2: No 3: No opinion
They asked my opinion on a large number of political items.They asked how old I was.
They asked if I was Conservative, Moderate, or Left Wing Radical Communist Democrat.
They asked if I was affiliated with a union. They asked me who I would vote for.
They asked what my race was.
This was to a phone number for a voter in Washington State.

I answered every question, letting them know that I would not vote for Obama or any Democrat!

I checked the phone number on Google.

I just had my phone number changed TWICE to an unlisted number and had to PAY to have that done with AT&T. We ought to be able to start a class action suit to get our money back as I was TOLD, my new unlisted number has NEVER been used by ANYONE before..................... I hate the crooks who call us. It is NOT their phone, but OURS. They dont pay my phone bills ..........the IDIOTS !

This call was an automated survey. The first question was whether I was going to vote, I think, this November. Unfortunately one of the options for an answer was not that it was none of their business so I just pushed the # sign. I did find that if I answered their questions numerous times with responses that were not in their options they would eventually say that you have exceeded the number of answers and the call would disconnect. The caller ID did show the number but the name was unavailable. Guess they are ashamed of who they are, or they are afraid if people know who is calling they won't answer, or the just aren't sure who they are themselves. I had a little time to play so I answered. All my answers were invalid so maybe it will skew their survey a little. Got to get back to working with my State legislator on drafting a State bill to prevent these calls to anyone on the National do-not-call list.

VF, your caller is not going to dutifully study random forum complaints and cannot magically determine which numbers should not be called based on anonymous comments.

I called them back, it's AFLCIO. I bet Teamsters gave them my number, even though I they have it only because I am forced to be a member so I can work.

The automated caller said this was a message from my union, AFSME, for a political survey. I am not, and never have been a member of that union.

They called at 6:50PM on a Sunday. Classy. I let it go to voicemail and they hung up without leaving a message.

Just called the number back and all you get is a recording that says please leave a message. I did leave a message stating that I recorded the date and time of their call and I listed my phone number to be removed immediately from their call list. We will see what happens. GOT TO LOVE THE DAMN POLITICIANS THAT PAY FOR THESE TYPE OF CALLS. . .ALL THESE CALLS INSURE FROM ME IS THAT I WILL NOT VOTE FOR THE PERSON THAT THE CALL IS FOR!!!

Opinion pollsters & political hacks are not considered "telemarketers" and therefore the "Do Not Call List" rules do not apply, even though they are a bigger nuisance. The DNC List needs to be revised to include surveys, polls etc.

Someone taking a survey on conditions in my area. Hung up. Put the number in my computer software program "PhoneTray" which will now answer this number with a prerecorded messages saying I don't participate in surveys and make sure my number is on their do no call list because the next call will be reported to the FCC.

They called in the middle of church on Sunday. They called me twice. The second time that I answered, there was a mechanical voice that said Hello, and that is it. I called back to find out who was calling me, and it said to leave a message, but, of course, their message box was full.VERY ANNOYING.

This calls have to stop. When we answer, no one is there but even after hanging up, the line is tied up for several minutes. This is especially irritating because this is a business line and the people here are paid to work, not answer politicians surverys. This group continues to call us, and even when I asked them to put us on the Do Not Call list, the man on the other end ignored me and continued to ask if he could speak to my wife. I've filed a complaint with the Washington state Attorney General's Office and will file a police report if it continues.

I got this call at 7:26pm. The recorded message asked questions about FL Rep. Ron Klein, candidate Alan West, and President Barack Obama. At the end, there were questions about if anyone in the household belongs to or has belonged to a union. The message said the company was National Opinion Surveys, 202-637-5249. My callerid said 202-974-8147. I did a reverse phone number look-up on FREEALITY, and both numbers are registered to land lines in Westchester, DC.

Seen this number on my caller id, I called them and they said the voice mailbox was full. Have read other comments for this number that it was a survey. Unfortunately, surveys are exempt from the do not call registry.

Called after 9 pm. I am on the no call list!

We received a few calls from 202-974-8147. Even though we are in the no-call-list. It is a recorded message from Working Americans who is conducting a survey.

I googled WorkingAmerica and called them at 202-637-5137. They removed me from the calling list. I really dislike telemarketer, especially those with recorded message.

You can complain all you want but I doubt Uncle Charlie will have any power over a fellow gov't entity that disappears as soon as you try to call them back. Just upgrade your phone plan to include call blocking or auto forward their number to another scammer.

The caller is Working America, which is a grassroots movement to create an aggregate union of working people in order to establish political power by controlling a large block of voters. They are, not surprisingly, affiliated with the AFL-CIO. They're NOT associated with the Democratic party; in fact, their agenda is much farther to the left (and completely unrealistic) than most of us damned liberals. Among other things, they want legislation guaranteeing a "living wage" for all jobs, with a minimum wage much higher than warranted by the skill set needed for many occupations.

They are also pests. They had a door-to-door campaign going a few years back and showed up at my house a number of times, even though I told them "no thanks," every time.

Now you can decide it you want to deal with them.

I work for the USPS as a mail carrier. I'm a union member. I got a call today from this # informing me that Al Franken had officially been declared the winner over Norm Coleman in the MN senatorial race. (No duhhhh, dipshits! U think I live under a rock?!) The recorded message wants The Hammer 2 get on Gov. Pawlenty's ass 2 sign this or that. Anyway, based on the content of the message, I'm guessing the # can be traced to a Democratic think-tank/interest-group or whatever they are called.

It was some kind of recorded political poll. Didn't answer it, it recorded on the answering machine.

I received a call this evening at 8:45 pm. Caller ID showed this: WASHINGTON DC 1-202-974-8147. Caller disconnected after 4 rings; my voice mail picks up after 5 rings, so there was no message.

Missed a call from this number at 9:45 pm. No message was left. Called it back and got msg saying that the voicemail box was full and could not accept messages

saw i missed a call from this number, on my cell phone, a couple minutes ago. So i called back, thinking it might be a friend. instead i got a recording suggesting that i should leave a message. then a recording the mailbox was full, but i could get an operator by entering *-0. then a note that all operators are busy and i am being returned to my last task. weeeird.

Just received six calls in a row from this number, each spaced exactly six minutes (to the second!) apart. This would lead me to believe that the calls are automated. No messages were left. I'm on the Do Not Call List as well, but it doesn't seem to block all calls. :\

My cell rang just once. No message was left...my wife's phone keeps getting calls from Kay Jewelers.
