I got a call from 202-800-5543 on 11/5/12 at 11:43am. It seemed like a quick political poll.
I had hip replacement surgery a week ago, and can't get around that quickly yet. Had 2 missed calls from this # yesterday, because my phone was in the other room. Thanks for contributing to my recovery -- NOT!

I called the number back and got the same recorded IVR survey. I changed my answer to "havent voted yet" just to see what would happen. It asked who I plan to vote for, I answered for Romney. Just as before, survey thanked me and hung up. So it doesnt appear to be partisan or advocating one side or the other at all.
Seemed to be a straight presidential election "who did you vote for" and "whatis your demographic" call. I didnt really mind, although many people do it seems. Some other callers suggested the only way the number could have gotten to pollsters was by their political party registration. Dont know if thats true or not, but I'm a registered Rebpub and reported that I voted for Obama, so maybe if I'd reported that I hadnt voted yet it would move to soliciting my vote. Who knows. As it is, they just thanked me and hung up. I hope someone in the Republican party was listening or paying attention to the fact that Republican candidates are unsupportable this cycle.
Why is Obama calling me! I got a job and have my own cell phone. Plus I have Jewish freinds and dont bow to Arabs. I like the arab food but they bitch to much about having to live here....so I get carry outs.
