Who Called Us

they called twice yeasterday, every week day, I do not answer.

Received 2-3 calls per day-I don't answer-Consider this an invasion of MY privacy. They are so stupid-I'll never answer!

We've been getting these calls two or three times a day.
Someone needs to put a stop to this.
We are on the do not call list also, there should be
some regulation for these telemarketers who won't
take NO for an answer.

This "company" calls at least 4 times each day. I have never answered and never will. Too suspicious and ambiguous.

This caller is anonomus in every way - makes me feel creepy. Do not pick up the phone!!!

i've been called daily by "donor care center." never leave a message. whats the deal? my guess is some scam??

We have had calls morning, noon, and night. Usually early morning - 8:00 and at meals. We have not answered and now that I found this web site, we will not!

First call 3 days ago was from "Rachel" at DonorCareCenter. Very rude woman and she began yelling at me when I told her I could not help her out this year. She was trying to get me to sign up to send envelopes for donations to all of my neighbors. After I hung up while she was still yelling, I received 3 more phone calls that day.....four yesterday (Wednesday) and
one already today. When I hit the "call back" to 1-202-652-4595, I get a recording that gives me the option to have any further calls made to my number which I did yet the calls continue. There is no way to speak with a real person to ask that they leave me alone. We are older and in ill health and these calls are very disturbing. I don't like to be treated so disrespectfully JUST because I cannot financially afford to "help" with their so called charity. Any suggestions you might offer to get this to stop would be appreciated. Sincerely,

The person calling asks for me personally when the call goes to auto answering, as if I will pick up once I hear a voice.

getting 3 calls per day for last few days from this number, when i see no on caller id i do not pick up, very annoying. Calls start at 8:30 am and go until 9:30 pm!!!

I get a call every morning for 3 weeks even Sat. around 8 - 8:30. It rings like a fax - I pick up and hear a click then a fax tone. Then I call the number and requested for them to stop calling. This needs to stop!

I have been getting these calls for about a week and a half. Two sometimes 3 times a day. I read the comments that everyone has entered, and I saw some mention of Bank of America. We just got a card from them and wonder if they are "phishing" with this donar crap. I am going to get online with the credit card website and see if I can get the privacy preferences changed. Did this with our wells fargo bank and they quit calling. It is actually their investment companies that call, not them directly. What a pain! That is why they know they names. Donarcarecenter? What a low life maneuver.

I too have been getting these calls about everyday . Only started about 4 weeks ago , but now its all to frequent . Ive never answered the calls yet , but I will pretty soon with a nice piece of my mind to tell them where to go !

This call comes to Kansas from Washington, D.C. @ 14:26 hours CDT on 7-18-08. It is from the Donor Care Center which does many things, but mostly torment citizens for funding.

I blocked their first number 914-513-2853, (Westchester, N.Y.) so they tried this one to get in. They did.....once. Left no message.

they called last two days. Today I answered. They asked for me by name. I told them they had wrong number. The caller said sorry and hung up. I guess I`ll have to wait and see if they call back then I will get angry and yell at them

Since I was getting a number of "Cellular Call" caller IDs, I picked up on the chance it might be legit. I said "Hello," got no immediate response, said "Good Bye," and was in the process of hanging up when the person said "I'm ... of the leukemia and lymphoma society..." to which I said I was on the do not call list and hung up.

From what is said by others, apparently DonorCareCenter was too obvious, so they are spoofing their caller ID.

We get at least one of these every day. It goes unanswered. It seems like the automation equipment would record who's not answering and stop calling, doesn't it?

They never leave a message, but as I understand it, "do not call" listing does NOT apply to bona fide charities or businesses with whom you haqve done past business. They will remove your name and ph.# and are polite about it.

I don't ever answer these calls & they don't leave a message - VERY ANNOYING!!!!

Receive a call at least once a day for the last 3 weeks. I have stopped picking up the phone.

4 calls in 5 days starting on 7/10/2008, Screamed at them today to stop. I also emailed fccinfo@fcc.gov to complain.

Doesn't leave a message when my answering machine picks up, has been calling 1 to 2 a day for 2 weeks, we are on the Do Not Call list. Getting very tired of this. Tried to talk to them once to tell them to take us off their list but they hung up.

Have called about 6 times in the past week. When I answered and said "hello", nothing. I don't know if they hung up but I then definitely did.

I receive one or two calls a day from this "company." I do not answer. Sometimes it says donorcarecenter and other times cancer research. Today I called THEM and got a recording. It said they were sorry to have missed me and will call again. ACK!

Many calls from this number/ID over the past week or so. I'm getting tired of these bogus telemarketing type schemes. Probably just confirming it's a valid number to keep harassing, so I never answer. The Do Not Call list was a total waste of effort.

I recently got calls from "AGI" of Michigan to stop calling me- I blew a whistle into the phone! They claimed to be offering free credit reports on behalf of Bank of America. Now, I'm getting calls from this number, offering the same B.S. AGI has nothing to do with BOA, and I'll bet this one doesn't either. AGI was simply trying to get me to give out my personal info- to steal my identity! This one actually spoke when I answered, knew my name (same as AGI did), and I told them I wasn't interested. Let's see if they call again, or another new number emerges!

Annoying 2 calls daily at least, Im on a do not call list. No identity & often hangs up when I pick up the phone. this has ben going on for weeks.

I've been getting calls from these people for weeks. Finally, called their number back today and their "answering machine" offered an option to be taken off their list by pressing and it may take up to 30 days to take effect. May not work, but can't hurt if everyone does this. I never answer their call anyway.

Have called at least 2 times a day for the past four days. I have not answered their calls.

Finally looked these people up and see that we are not the only ones being called constantly.
We receive about 2-3 calls from Donorcarecenter every day!! How can this be stopped? We are also on the no call list and NEVER give money to ANY group over the phone.

Donor Care Center had been calling our house for the past few weeks and I finally picked the call up and asked who was calling because they asked for me by name. I just told them we where not interested and to please take us of their list and thanked them and hung up. That's the best way I know of getting these kinds of call center calls to stop call you!! Remember that call centers charge as much as 50% to fund raisers so I never give to them. I would rather give to a charity that gets 100% of my donation.

Always hangs up after three rings; should I happend to pick up before three rings hangs up upon my hellow; has been going on for about three weeks and I do not believe this is a charitable organization but a phishing expedition of some sort.

Caller ID says Donor Care Center and they have an incorrect name for someone who used to own my phone number. They are calling by neighborhood probably for the neighborhood campaign for leukemia society as someone else mentioned here. As far as the DO NOT CALL list - NON-PROFIT organizations are EXEMPT! You can check this fact at the DONOTCALL website. Thanks!

Getting at least two-three calls a day. Have seen 202-652-4595 and 914-513-2853. I don't talk to any of them. Love my Caller ID.. I open the line and let them listen to the television. I figure as long as the line is open they're paying for the call. Sounds like a class action suit is in order.. any lawyers out there want the case :)- looks like most of us are on the DO NOT CALL LIST.

I keep getting calls from DonorCare Center
first the calls came from 9145132853 had several of those when the answering machine picked up they hung up without leaving a message and these came at different times of day and late evening. Now tonite @ 9 pm I get one from the above number and same thing. Seems like alot of people are having the same problem
I call this harrassement and want it stopped

This number has been calling all day -- didn't answer phone. No msg. left on ans. machine. I don't care what "name" they use, I will never answer. I am also on Do Not Call list! Beware of scams (see David's report).

I have been getting calls that say Donor care center and I never answer, so now the caller id says cell phone. I answered the first time and realized it was a telemarketer, so I hung up. I am also on the do not call list.

I am on the Do NOt Call list yet this number appears on my caller i.d. several times a day. When my answering machine picks up, the caller hangs up leaving no message. I consider this harassment.

Been getting calls for DonorCenter for weeks now. Looks like they have finally figured out I'll never answer with ID showing Donor Center so they changed it to Washington DC. Keep wasting your time calling me you idiots.

This outfit has called five times in past week. I answered the first call but no one responded so I have'nt answered since. Someone is wasting marketing dollars on what surely must be a very ineffective advertising.

Asked for me by name, said they were from "Blood Cancer Leukemia" and not looking for money. Want to send 8 letters that you would then send to others -- your postage on the letters is your contribution to the effort. Had my mailing address and asked me to confirm.

Got the call and answered it, but no one said anything - sounded like they hung up.

This number called me this evening. When I answered and said "hello" they did not respond. I immediately hung up.

Asked for me by name. Did not identify company or caller. Said they would call back. I have gotten at least 30 calls from DonorCareCenter in the last 10 days.
