How do I stop them from calling?
- Ask the unwanted caller to stop calling and put you on their do not call list (they are legally required to comply).
- If your number is registered with the National Do Not Call Registry you can file a complaint with the
FTC. - Block them with a call blocker:
Uniden DECT1288 blocks up to 20 numbers, plus Private and Unknown, with the reject tone, without ringing the phone.
Panasonic KX-TG106 blocks up to 30 numbers, plus all unidentified callers, with a busy tone, after the phone rings once.
JF Teck Caller ID with Ring Controller blocks up to 70 numbers, and can be set to always allow up to 100 to ring through.

I have recieved calls from this number for over two years, asking for the some person that I believe had this number in the past. The first call was four days after I got the phone number.
I asked then to be removed from the account, becaues I did not know the person. I have gotten calls from them at least five times a month, ever since.
I called the number back and advised them that I was going to recall the number five times, every time they call me. I asked that my number be removed form their system. I found that after the third call, they could not locate the phone number in their system.
Started recently: They call my phone about 1 or 2 times a day, or so, averaged 6 calls in 6 days. Different numbers, Call Center, MD 410-202-0073, NCO 202-607-2935, and NCO 559-272-6462. When I return thier call..........
They answer, NCO Fincinal or Capitol ( Something ), usually forigners, and ask for my 16 didgit account number, I dont have an account there, never did, never will. I also owe no one anything, retired, no mortgage, not nothing, so no one needs to be calling me for collections for sure.
so......never mess with a retiree, my little game, while watching TV, or checking email, I dial the number about 15 to 20 times, let them answer, then when they hang up, dial again. I dont have long distance charges with my service, so no cost to me. Sort of entertaining too, they call on Sundays too, thought that was illegal?
Fed up with the calls? Capitol Hill is responsible for this mess.

Wow. They've called 4 times today and three in the last 45 minutes. Seriously? I will never answer the call and they never leave messages. What a complete waste of everyone's time. It's now 9pm.
Why do they keep calling? They never leave a message and call from several numbers.
Holy crap, checked and found this number on my CID. Called, got the 10th degree. Wanted my Capital One account#. I don't know it, I closed the account when Capital one decided to jump my rate from 7.99% to 19.99% (never missed a payment). Then wanted my SS#, which I don't give out. Rep got pissed off when I would not give it to him. I hung up. Called back and kept getting put on hold.
Really pissed me off, so I dug up an old statement and called directly to customer service to make sure I was not missing a payment. Was told, as I knew, that my account was 100% ontime payments.
Still don't know why they're calling me.
