found a way to make the calls stop. bought a VERY high pitched LOUD wistle and when they atarted their prescription speal, I blew it as loud and long as I could!! Only took two calls and the thrice daily calls stopped cold!!

This number calls my house every hour and claims to be a sheriff department, although I don't know which one. Person using a voice changer, name of town inaudible. The number he is calling from is 201-204-0763. I know that Eureka is the phone carrier in this area, am calling to report now.

Have never even answered the phone to them but it's sooo annoying. I'm in Manchester, England and this happens a lot. What are they actually getting out of it - are they trying to rip people off or what??

(From ireland) this number has called our home phone 5 times within the past 2 days, today at 11.32, 11.53, 12.13 and 14.05 and also yesterday at 15.32, when the call is answered a recorded message says "hold the time, i have a call for this number. I'm still trying to connect". Are they reversing the call charges??????

Got a call from this number today. The lady identified herself as being from a company called APEX Services. She said a won a free digital camera and a vacation. She then requested my bank information to verify a check that I needed to mail them to pay for the shipping and handling of my free prize. I looked it up and it came up as a scam. Fucking pirates. She was deffinitley middle eastern. She said I was specialy sellected but I could hear her freaking partner in the background talking to some one else, feeding them the same bullshit story she was feeding me . I refused to give her my bank information and she said that she would call me back. I hope she does so I can tell her what I am feeling now.

He said his name is Patric smith and told me as awinner of digital camera and vacation and ask me my bank info for mailing and handling which is $1.95.Please if you can read this comment don't mess around me.

we are based in Ireland and have been getting these phone calls on mobile since yesterday. googled number today and was disturbed by what you all had to say. we have rung our network and they say they can not do anything about these calls......... email now gone to MD.

201-373-8371 this number calls me twice a day @ 130pm and 800pm, they never leave a message. If I try and call the number back it rings busy. Looked it up on whitepages and it show nothing. If anyone can give me some feedback as to who is calling would be great. The next call I get I will just answer it and let them know to stop calling.

We are a company based in Ireland, and we receive phone calls from this number a few times a day, with nobody on the other line, just a hang-up. It has been annoying, but nothing as bad as what is described below. Seems an automated system to me, somehow.

A woman claiming to be "Sharon Smith" called from "APEX Services" to say that my sister won a camera and a gift certificate. She said they needed a shipping payment to send the camera (and wanted a bank account number). My sister said she would get back in touch with her, and she said she would call my sister back instead (she was particular about the time etc.)--that made me suspicious.

After the phone call we did a google searh and found out that it was a scam--DO NOT GIVE THESE PEOPLE ANY MONEY!

I got a call from this number today and suspect that these are the same people(?) that have been calling from 1616 980 2284 for the last few weeks a couple of times each day. Very annoying but now when I see the number I just hang up the phone.

I asked the guy to take me off his calling list. He told me that I needed to give him a good enough reason too first. I reminded him that he was breaking the law if he kept harassing me. He kept going. I asked to speak to his manager. He told me that he didn't have one... that he was it. He then asked me for the head of the house-hold. I said that was me. He said I couldn't be because only men could be the head of the house-hold. He though I hung up, but I then sat there and listened to him complain about his "production" being low..... I wonder why?

This guy kept calling me over and over. Most times no one was on the other end. When he finally got me, he asked for me by name. I said that no one with that name lives here. He asked me if I was sure and if I knew who the person was. I told him again that I didn't know who he wanted to talk to. He asked me my name and I told him that I didn't know him and I wasn't going to disclose personal information. That was the last time he called me and that happened weeks ago. I wanted to make sure it worked before I posted here. Good luck to you guys...This man needs to be stopped.

yea some indian woman called my cell yada yada yada...long story short, she said sum shit about sum sweepstakes or that i was approved for a special offer of a free dream vacation as well as a free apex digital camera and then i hung up. about an hour later the same damn number called me back and this time it was a male.same old sob story and also added that i would be happy, pleased,and satisfied and that my 4friends would also be feeling pleased and satisfied and that i would have me seduce my friends to their destination and i will have my camera and will be very pleased/. and then he said my first name, which shocked me and then i asked him if he knew my full name and address and he got my last name right but not my home address, he told me the address of the house i was at, my girlfriends. then i got pissed creeped out and quite the suspicious one.

Can the police not do something about this this number must be able to be traced so that it is dealt with. It is disgraceful with so much technology that this type of harassment cannot be stopped.

It was a woman - with an accent, sounded like they were from India. She siad she was from "The Exchange Place" and was calling about online education. Like "Cope" below, I told them to stop calling and before I could finish what I was saying, they hung up. This is the 3rd call I have received from them on my cell phone. How do I block these calls????

I just got a call from 201-373-8371 today, and it was a woman with a strong foreign accent. She said they would send me a travel package (a free trip to Hawaii) with a free digital camera and a DVD. She said that all I needed to do was to pay a $1.95 shipping fee. I said it was too good to be ture, but she said it was ture. And she started trying to verify my name and my address, and she said that I just needed to write a check to them to pay for the shipping fee. I was very skeptical and told her that there must be a catch out there. Then she said she wanted her superviser to talk to me. I thought all this was just a scam, so I just hang up on her.

They call every day several times, never talk and after few seconds hang up. It's VERY annoying. And we are a company, so we have to answer....

this number called me several times, i decided to pick up, then i said hello, and he started saying alot, he sounded indian. so since his english was garbage i told him "sorry i speak english, i cant understand you" he told me "i am speaking english, what language do you think im speaking?" i told him it sounded like there was a huge dot on his forehead, and that it was blocking his english. he started saying something, so i hung up, he has called me 3 other times today (within 4 hours). i havent picked up, but you'd think a racist remark would have turned him down..

I get alot of different calls from different places that keep calling 4 5 times a day! This one just started calling tonight! They couldn't even speak english for gods sake. When they asked for someone I couldn't understand what they said! So I told them they have the wrong number they hung up! Why do telemarketers hire non english speaking people? I just added the number with XM spammers in my cellphone Contact list, then set the ringtone to "Silent". Now all I get is the Missed Call beep after they give up. Much better than letting it ring.

I got a call today (Feb. 4, 2007) from this number. He said the company was Apex and that I was chosen to receive a digital camera and a (voucher?) trip to ... several different places were mentioned. He said I would receive these things in the mail within the next 7 days. He said I would have to pay $1.95 for shipping and handling. I wouldn't mind paying that if the items are sent. However, he said I would have to pay it within ??? (I forget how many days he said) and that it would have to be by check. I will never send them a check where they would have my account number and if the items are indeed sent, then I will send them a money order. I asked where he got my name and address and he said from a research database.

Got a call from lady with Indian Accent, aishwarya, promising a free digital camera and 3 nights 2 days stay in las Vegas for 4 people. All this to try their calling card and other products. I kept listening to her and then she asked for me to write a cheque of $1.95 for S&H, and tell her the cheque number. I grilled her further and asked questions on whether they have an internet presence and wallah!!they had a website apexservicesonline.com. I hanged up on her refusing to give my cheque details.

Terrorists, a/k/a Cowards! They don't want to be found. They want to continue harrassing everybody without being caught. Try to call the number back and recorded message says "The number you have dialed is not a working number". Phony caller ID. How does that work? Someone with technical knowledge and right equipment could probably trace the call to some remote place outside the US. That would be lovely! Find the freaks and punish them to the fullest extent of the law.

I think this is just a /perfect/ sales person. LOL They get info from web sites where they ask for phone #. I ALWAYS use my cell# for caller id purposes, I NEVER answer if i dont know the #. If its important enough to them they'll leave a msg. If not- YEAH!!!!! I WIN!!!!! they havent called since Jan.18th.
If I knew how to forward to authorities I would like to pass them on to FBI or Home land security, etc.

Called back but my Verizon account said the number cant be completed as dialed. Someone should hire a PI to see what is behind all this..perhaps a class action suit would be fun too

This is a marketing company which uses deceitful practices. Details of a call from them on 1/25/08: Caller spoke english with a heavy hard to understand Indian accent. Caller said I had won a "free" digital camera and other prizes and that I only had to pay the one dollar shipping cost. I replied that I was not interested because they would need a credit card to process the shipping costs. The caller replied that they would simply charge my account (presumably checking account) and use a check as payment. I repeated that I was not interested. The caller continued to pressure me with his sales pitch. I repeated that I was not interested and asked the caller to repeat what I had just told him (ie that "I was not interested") The caller then stated his (incorrect) version of what I had said. To quote him exatly (despite his heavy accent); "You said it was OK to charge your account $100.00 (yes tat is $100.00 not $1.00). I am going to attempt to report this to the FBI as a fraud attempt. Not that I expect anything to come of it.

They called me 4 times today. I finally answered to tell them that I was reporting them as I was on the do not call list. The man on the other end said that the list was "rubbish" and not to "get smart" with him. At that point I hung up on him.

This was a man that was calling about a puppy for sale. He said he had 2 Rotts that he had to get rid of because he moved to a Condo, and that he could only have a pet no more then 25 lb's. He said he had 2 children, and asked if the puppy was good with kids. He was a black man. He said he lived in Grand Rapids, MI He said he worked at Gordan Foods, and that he get's out of work at 4 p.m. and was coming here after work. This was a no show. He never called me again. I did not tell him where I lived, but he said he mapped it from the add.

I had seen on my Caller ID JAYSHREE 201-373-8371 for a few times each day for the past week and finally decided to answer the call. Apparently I won a 3day vacation to the destination of my choosing and a digital camera. The man spoke with what sounded like an east Indian accent asked what color camera I wanted, silver or black. They would be sending me this package with no obligation and all they needed was for me to pay postage when the package arrived for $1.95. They just needed my bank information. I was not buying any of it from the beginning but I was curious where this was all going. When I said I would not give my bank information, they said "what, you do have a bank account, do you know someone a friend or family who could give you their bank information". I said I got two bucks on me, I am good for it. They apparently hung up at this point as no one responded.

they called at 9am this morning. indian accent I think or something there abouts. talking about school information. I asked if I signed up for something online and they said no. I asked how they got my phone number. They wanted to send me something and if I didn't want to knwo about the school or whatever then I can just ignore it. I'm assuming that the person that posted the info in the list above, regarding first and last name, is accurate. I'm also assuming that he took this info straight off of his caller i.d. That being said, here's some results i came up with from the internet.

This guys's a TRUE scammer, fake, ripoff, what have you. Of course, don't expect a reply or response. At least we can all make his life as annoyed as he's made ours. This guy's posing as an attorney at law... LMAO! Fake website and ALL! Plaster this (website and email) info everywhere you can think of, as to make things, at least, as annoying for him as he's made it for us. I received another call from this number...I answered and I asked them how I could help them...and he said his name was Steve King and he was from a medication place in Florida...and he started talking and I said..stop...please take my name and number off the list and he said anything for a lovely lady..Thank you and Merry Christmas to a lovely lady..Goodbye.....Let's see if he calls back....The next time, he calls and I'm going to say hey...I'm at work...I have asked you once to take my name and number off the list...and I will sue for harassment if this doesn't stop...That is what I am going to do the next he calls....

This number called my home on 11-27-07 and when my son answered they ask for me and when he ask who it was they hung-up and I tried calling the number back and it is continually busy and I would like them not to call if they cannot state theire buisness

male with strong accent by the name of "bruce smith" offers to send us a free camera. all we have to do is provide our checking account number and routing number so they can charge $1.95 for shipping. (right!) so then my hubby asks if he wants our social security numbers and portfolio numbers also. ha! how ridiculous... hope this is not the beginning of harassment for us.

I get this phone call almost everyday and when I answer before I can tell them to stop calling me they will hang up. I tried calling them back but it's always busy. What an AH! Like everybody else I'm tired of this and want to stop but it seems to be impossible! HELP!

Calls everyday. Finally picked up and a computerized voice says to hang on. Line then disconnected.

After doing some research I have come to find that this is a telemarketing company based in Hackensack NJ. I did a random search for telemarketing companies with in the area code 201 and came across a name of a company which matched the area Hackensack NJ. The company name is CSI Telemarketing and the main number is 201-498-7000. The numbers that come up on your cell numbers (including mine) are from a multi line phone which you will not be able to get a name or be able to return the call. Hopefully this helps the many people out there that are just as frustruated as me and want these phone calls to stop. I also have an address. I called the main number and left a very sturn message asking for them to not call me again or I will be happy to report them to the authorities and I am also on the National DoNot Call List.

In my hometown I have what is called a "call rejection" service with my local phone company. I just added this number to it. The "do not call" registry isn't always helpful. With the "call rejection" service these phone calls won't go through because they will get a "blocked" message when calling your number. It is well worth the small amount added to your phone bill. I imagine this service is only helpful with land line phones and not cell phones. I'm not sure if you can get this feature through a cell phone plan. I have a "pay as you go" cell phone and haven't received these types of calls on my cell phone... yet!

I just recieved a call from this number, but it sounds completely different than what you guys are saying. They said they recieved my phone number through what they say is the phone book but since when is a "just turned" 18 yr old's phone number listed in the phone book! Today is the first day this number starting calling me. After reading the comments about this number, I decided to answer by saying Lubbock Police Dept. She started to say something and I said again, Lubbock Police Dept. she seemed stunned and then asked me if I was a business-I said no this is LPD and asked her if this was an emergency? She hung up. They called 3 times today and I think it might be the last. I hope.

Asshole called me today at work.

I replied, "Why the f*ck don't you know the NAME of the owner of the number?"
He says, "Tina ****, I want to talk to her. G*d damn I'm just calling for her".. or something like that. When I heard the cursing, I kind of lost track of the rest.

They informed me that we have a "cash advance" coming from visa/mastercard and to give them my banking details to recieve it - what a scam.

Heh.. my call went slightly different. I picked up and I had a voice asking if I wanted to "save the message to your phone"or "press 3 to listen to it". And well, pressing 3 resulted in it hanging up on me. I expect many other spam calls now >_

They have been calling my cell phone a couple of times a week. They inform me I've won a sweepstakes. When I've asked how they received my number they tell me it was from the credit application. The only credit I've applied for lately was through Lending Tree and I did give them my cell number.

They have been calling every day this week. Our caller id for one of the phones shows they haved called 8 times. I know they have called multiple times a day.

Male with Indian accent called at about 6:30 pm CDT on 8/6/07. My husband answered and the caller asked for me by name. When my husband asked who was calling, the caller said he was with Marketing Links. When I told my husband that I didn't know anyone from that company needing to call me and my husband relayed the info to the caller, the caller hung up. He's called once before a couple of days ago, but I was on the phone with a friend and didn't answer the call waiting. If he calls back again, I'll tell him to quit calling me or I WILL report him to the police. That is harrassment and it's illegal!!!

This guy has been calling repeatedly on my cellphone and asking for me by name. It is obvious he is working a scam who, when he does not speak to the person he requests, he sets your number on a automatic redial and will not stop calling. Beware do not get any personal or credit information to him.

I getting this calls everyday, as it filled up my id caller up to 99 limit, so I got a ID Caller with rejecting unwanted call, as it ring once know being rejected, no waste of time getting up to pick up the phone,.

Just received a call from 201-373-8371 on my Cell Phone at 7:37 PM EST. Did not answer as I know no one in the 201 Area Code. Thought it might be a wrong number. Did a reverse search nothing. Then came here and researched it and found all these complaints. The Phone Company that has given out that 201-373-8371 Number is: Verizon New Jersey. Might want to call them and report whats happening and if each of us do that and provide this website address it might get them to pull the number. Its worked in the past with Pacific Bell.

Caller-ID actually showed 1-201-373-8371 (without dashes). I have yet to see a SINGLE valid Caller-ID number starting with any access code.

They need to be fined maybe threatning to be fined will make them stop! I heard that if you signed up for the Do Not Call Registry and telemarketers call they will be fined. I know this number is out of NJ. I am ready to call the governor or something. The person who handles complaints in CT is Richard Blumenthal,maybe I can find out from him what to do. I also think I am changing my number and I hope that will work.

You should all sign up with the National do not call registry. They are a govt. organization and once you join, you can file a complaint that gets forwarded for a civil or criminal investigation. They call at least 4-5 times a day. I'm in L.A. I answer and a recording says "Hello", then when I respond...it hangs up. They have already called 3 times today. 7-26-07. I dont know if this is gonna do anything but under the application for the card, I filled in crap like "Stop calling me" for my name and what not. Last thing is it asks for your phone number to call you back at. Instead of giving mine, they know it already (bastards) I put in THEIR number they call from. What this does is automatically call that number to "verify" you wanting a card. Hopefully if enough people do this, it will jam their lines!

I also read on their terms page and found a 800 number for National Arbitration Forum ("NAF"). I called and left a not so nice message on some random chicks voicemail about the harassing calls from one of their partners. So maybe call them as well? 800-474-2371 Funny thing is their hours of operations are all over the place - so they may be a scam too... dunno. For some reason people aren't taking the time to read what others have posted. It's clear from what's been said and the various calls I have received from this number that there is a good chance we are dealing with a "calling hub" I think the mister Patel that people found in Jersey might be innocent. Chances are they are calling people based on a large list of scam organizations they work for and are trying to get access to your bank accounts. For instance, I have never gotten a call from them relating to RX Pharmacy, but I have been called about credit cards, Dish network, and refinancing. These are a criminal organization and should be prosecuted as such.
