Got an automated call on my business phone requesting for me to call 1800414-8319 to pay a debt owed. Told to wait for reference number but none was given. I held the line and the automator said for me to leave my SS#. I don't owe money so I knew this was a scam. I didn't leave any info. I called the 800 number and got a "Mr. Harris". I told him I already knew how much I owed, I just needed to know the address to send it. He asked me if I was Jannie Hilton of whom I am not (he called my business) I agreed that I was mrs. hilton and he gave me my address of which I also agreed. Don't know who Jannie Hilton is but I do know that the address he gave is a street name around here. He offered to do a bank draft but I told him I didn't have an account anymore so I needed to send a money order. He didn't put up much of a fight and gave me an address of PO BOX 1244 Englewood Cliffs, NJ 07632. He told me my debt was $516.30 and then asked me if that was the amount I had previously been given. I agreed that it was around the amount just alittle higher by a couple of dollars. He laughed and told me to have a nice day and that once he received payment, I would be sent a letter to confirm that the debt was paid. ANYONE LEGIT WOULD NOT HAVE TO ASK FOR PERSONAL INFORMATION. BE AWARE AND DO NOT GIVE OUT ANY INFO.

They have many different phone numbers (800-414-8319, fax # 201-308-9370). Check out Bud Hibbs website, if you are having trouble with debt collectors.

Received an automated call on my cell phone Sunday, 20 January 2008, at 9:10 am EST. Message was that this is not a sales call and that I need to call a toll-free number during the week. Looked up source phone number on Google and found this thread. Twice in the past year I have received dunning letters for someone with my last name, a different first name, and my correct address. The first time, I called the collection agency in Colorado to tell them that no one with that name has ever lived at this address. I suspect that the agency sent the same dunning notice to every Brown in the area hoping to find the correct one. I suspect that this is what Palisades is doing, but they use an automated dialer to do it. If I get another call from them, I will be contacting the local TV station's consumer reporter before I call any toll-free number that might ask for my SSN.

Palisades Collection, LLC, is a company which claims to be collecting debts assigned to them by other firms for collection. Search the internet for "Palisades Collection" and be prepared to find thousands of references to the company by individuals claiming to have never owed the money Palisades is seeking.

I'm presently being sued by a law firm representing Palisades for $2400 I supposedly owe AT&T. When I contacted AT&T, I was told AT&T hadn't assigned ANY debts owed them to Palisades and that AT&T didn't show me as owing them anything.

Some complaints I read about Palisades claimed Palisades had sued or dunned people with the same names living in the same area as true debtors of various companies. Many people panic when they're contacted by law firms, so Palisades frequently gets money they have no right to.

Don't pay them anything until you've looked over what your internet search finds.

I have had repeated calls from this number. "This is not a sales call, please call 800-414-8319" messages have been left on my voicemail. When I return the call it is an automated voicemail giving the debt collector speal and then asks you to "hold for the next available representative". After a short pause, "To help expedite your call, please enter your nine digit social security number". I hung up at this point.

i have received the same 414-8319 without area code for 3 months too and they havent left a msg either. I called 800-873-5648 and told them to take me off their list. DO NOT ENTER your social security, just wait on the line and press 5 when they give you the option. They said they would remove me. Someone named Sherry Thomas (sp?) is apparently using/used my number and a bunch of collection agencies have been calling me. I mention her name just in case anyone else is getting the same alias. Hopefully, the calls will stop now.

They called me several times. I finally got a person on the phone at (201)308-9360 and they said they are trying to collect a debt, but didnt say what debt. I told them to stop calling me and they told me to dial (800)873-5648. Instead I called my lawyer and he is getting a cease and desist order to shut them up. Yes their address is Pallisades Collection 210 Sylvan Ave. Inglewood, NJ 07632 DONT TELL THEM THE TIME OF DAY!

keeps calling every day. They use to use the 201-308-9360 number until this past month. Now they are using 414-8319 with no area code. Calls have been happening for months on a daily basis to my cell phone. I reported to FTC

They call every single day at 8:30 in the morning and leave a message on my work phone! to my understanding they are fradulent.

I get calls from "Palisades" (collection agency) but the calls come from a Canadian # (11-600-414-8319), and the recording says to call the 800 #. I called both corporate #s and left messages telling them to stop calling and that I was filing FCC and BBB claims against them. This company has several hundred complaints lodged w/ the BBB about them: they seem to try to defraud people into paying them by claiming you owe them money and placing an entry on your credit report as proof: any creditor can place a negative entry on your credit report if they have a SSN. They seem to be scam artists: check any claims they make against you and make them prove it before giving them any info or sending $$.

got a call with caller ID 4148319. No area code. message said it was a call from Palisades. Nothing more except it wasn't a sales call. They said I could call their 800 number from 8AM to 8PM ... and they made their call AFTER 8 PM.

I called, hit 8, got Admin, but when I explained why she should stop the phone calls she sent me to a generic voice mailbox to leave a message. I don't know what to do.

Got number of corporate office in NJ. (209) 567-5648. Go for option #8 (Admin dept) Tell them to remove your number. Also, file harrassment report with FCC (on line)

same phone number same hangup 4 times so far in May.

They call me every day at around 5pm and hang up. This has been going on for over 3 weeks!

I finally got thru to customer service at (800) 873-5648 and they promised to remove my number from their calling list. At the beginning, you will be asked for your SS #---just sit there---don't enter it. The call will then start thru a series of options---go ahead and select option # 5. When I told them I have reported them to authorities, they quickly promised to remove my number from their call list. Tomorrow will tell me if I was successful. Good Luck tcat

They call me almost every evening and no one is there. I called them back and nobody answers. I believe this is a NJ number.

Its a real collesction agency, I just got called and checked on here. I just looked at my credit report and Pallisades is listed on my report as wanting $300 for a Long lost phone bill. I have been getting harrsassed for $300. Guess I better pay it.

I've gotten two calls from this "company" in the last couple of months. When I answer, there is no one on the line.

They keep calling my cell phone. It is beginning to become aggravating.

They need to quit calling me. I am close to going to the BBB on their company anyway.

I just called again... just waited until someone answered and I asked about the scam information from the internet and the hung up. This is obviously not a legit business.

This company just called me and with in thirty seconds asked me for my Social Security number and other ID numbers. I did not give it to them becuase they would not tell me anything about their company. I asked what their company did for a living and they would not tell me. They said it was Mr. Gabrial Escobar – Palasades aquisisation company.

I will be reporting this call. The call just happened. Monday December 18th 9:00 AM.

(201) 308-9360 keeps calling me and whe I answer they hang up. I tried returning the call but with no answer.

This number calls my cell phone multiple times every day. They never leave a message, the call disconnects when I answer and no one answers when I call back.

It said this is not a sales call then, no one ever came on. The line just disconnected

they call about 10 times a day and wont leave a message. there is actually no one there when you answer!!!

This number was listed on caller id as ASTA Funding but the message said Palisades at 800-414-8319. This is a collection scam. Do not send them any money. They have been reported several times and it's a mystery how they are still operating.
