How do I stop them from calling?
- Ask the unwanted caller to stop calling and put you on their do not call list (they are legally required to comply).
- If your number is registered with the National Do Not Call Registry you can file a complaint with the
FTC. - Block them with a call blocker:
Uniden DECT1288 blocks up to 20 numbers, plus Private and Unknown, with the reject tone, without ringing the phone.
Panasonic KX-TG106 blocks up to 30 numbers, plus all unidentified callers, with a busy tone, after the phone rings once.
JF Teck Caller ID with Ring Controller blocks up to 70 numbers, and can be set to always allow up to 100 to ring through.

This company called me again this time calling themselves debt management consultanting. The line was echoing with a long delay, I guess they are calling from another country and the voice sounded African.
This is harassment. Can I report them to some organisation and have them disconnected?
THIS NUMBER HAS PHONED EVERY DAY FOR THE PAST WEEK WANTING ME TO CHANGE MY PHONE LINE HELP WITH AN ACCIDENT CLAIM WHICH I HAVE NOT HAD EASTERN GENT AND A LADY OF THE SAME ORIGIN HAVE TOLD THEM NOT TO CALL AGAIN BUT NOT VERY NICELY
Voice with a slight transatlantic(?) accent offered a discount on phone bills after asking for the owner of my number. I told him to ring off and severed the connection.
"Richard" calling from "3 Network", wanting to sell me a "free" Nokia phone complete with package phone and broadband. I got lots of calls from a similar male voice, possibly from India, asking for a Patricia Thomson, who I obviously am not...
PEOPLE BEWARE!
I received call from this number ( 012124 614418 ) and they said they would like to come and see me because they can save on my energy bill.
This person (foreign accent) phoned our shop yesterday afternoon and my daughter answered. The man then told her that his cousin had eaten one of our mangoes and was in hospital and he was sending the police round to us. Reduced her to tears and scared her, this company needs shutting down for using such practises. I gather from comments read that it is a compensation company. Wish I could find out who they are.
