They claim to be from the Republican National Comittee, and I said I don't accept calls from masked numbers or believe their identity and he starts arguing and nasty.

SAID IN THE SURVEY 'NOT TO BE CONTACTED', & WOULD LIKE WHOEVER IS CHANGING THE ANSWERS IN MY SURVEYS CAUGHT.

First called once but unintentionally declined the call. Tried to call it back, but it was blocked.

Someone keeps calling my cell from a +00000000000 number. The number isn't even showing up on my phone bill. It's like the number has never called. It's so weird.

Last night, between 6 PM and 8:12 PM, my land line phone was "bounced" by a number of calls, some with numbers, some with none. First at 5:57 PM came Name Not Found, 939-676-2579, and it appears that I was the very first person to report the number to the FCC/DNC. At 7:10 came Private Caller. At 8:12 came Unknown Caller. These last two had no phone numbers show whatsoever.

As I was typing a report to the FCC about the number 866-544-4857 at 3:14 PM March 22, this Unidentified Caller call came in on my phone. I listened to part of the message. It was a robo-call for Newt Gingrich. Just previously, at 2:26 and 2:53 PM, I had also received Unidentified Caller calls, with no phone numbers showing!

It is too bad that voting poll forms don't have a check box for "none of the above". Something has to be done about these harassing robo-calls from politicians and their parties.

The deluge of calls with no numbers showing seems to be the status quo thus far since this past Monday, March 19. That is really getting dirty, to not even spoof a number! I've compared notes with other contacts, and it seems that these calls with no numbers are politically connected.

This number has called us several times every day for the past week. No message and they hang up.

Also, if you get a smartphone with Google Voice, you can block numbers for incoming calls. It doesn't neccesarily stop them from calling you, but Google Voice recognizes whatever phone number you put in your blocked list and automatically hangs up the second it tries to connect to you so the call never makes a connection so your phone wont ring. So just put 000-000-0000 into your blocked list and you won't have to worry about it.

I am an IT technician and I deal with digital voice systems all the time. A company (such as mine) can set their outgoing number to read whatever they want. If some of our more sensitive departments don't want their direct lines showing up on caller ID's we just set the number to be disguised as if it were coming to the main switchboard of our company. But, if we were dicks about it we could make the number all 0's or all 1's or whatever we wanted. So most likely whoever is calling you from an all 0's number, is most likely a scammer, a marketer, or a political campaign.

These morons have called half a dozen times for the past three days asking for my roommate. As soon as I tell them he's out of town, they hang up, but call back a few hours later (in case he's come back in the meantime, I suppose.) I finally got fed up with it and asked who I could say was calling. I got a name (can't recall who it was) who said he was calling on behalf of the Republican National Committee. I asked him what part of "out of town" he couldn't understand and told him not to call here again. Of course, another two hours and I get another call from these morons. I finally got fed up and searched online at our phone company site. I found exactly what I needed -- selective call blocking. I have now completely blocked 000000000. The phone doesn't even ring when that number calls. Anybody who disguises their true number is up to no good anyway. So, up yours, Republican National Committee.

I keep getting phone calls and messages on my answering machine starting with the horn of a cruise ship followe by the message, this is your captain calling. These calls come as early as 4:45 AM and as late as 11 PM and almost. This company must lack complete respect for people. I recived one of these calls 4:45 AM on a Sunday morning. I don't know where they got my phone number from, since my number is unlisted and unsoliceted and I do not give out my home number to anyone. I want these calls to stop.

I started getting calls from this number a year or more ago in regards to my wife (who's last name is unchanged so they call her my "friend"). It sounds like a guy with an Indian or eastern accent possibly calling from out of country. He said it was in regards to my wife, and she has a legal matter she must settle. He gives me a 813 area code number to call back even though his number is +000000000 that he is calling from. He called myself, my wife, and her sister a few times asking her to settle the matter outside of court, and as the phone calls kept going he would say we must settle or legal action would be taken. The funny thing is my wife has never been in trouble in her life, not even a speeding ticket. I told the guy to never call me again, that I work for the police department, and I would make sure this would get settled for real. He didn't call back, Until the other day. Which a year or more has gone by. This time it's debt consolidation or something for my wife, and I need to deliver the message again to call the same 813 number. I remember his "name" this time from the last time he called which is/was David Brown. Doesn't sound like any David Browns I've ever met. It was either ACS or ATS that he says he is calling from. He's pretty clear, but the accent gets in the way on some words. I am going to see how this one plays out and hopefully mess with him a bit before telling him to beat it.

i get calls from the number pretty frequently. Most of the time they just hang up when I answer, but some times I'll answer it and it will be debt collectors that have been hired by capital one ( i forget the name of the actual company). So tmes is comes up 000000000 other times 000-000-0000 and sometimes it just says UNAVAILABLE.

I received a phone call this morning they were a debt collection agency and they claimed i owed a debt from 2002, i told them i didn't and then they asked them to verify my last four digits of social (uuuuhhh, not stupid), then they asked if my birthday was a certain date (again not stupid) I told them not to call me again and hung up, not three seconds later, they called again, and the man was screaming at me i didn't understand what he was saying, he was hard to understand in the first place. I yelled at him and told him not to call me back a second time and hung up, they called back two times immediately afterwards and had music playing like i was on hold...what idiots i'm just waiting for them to call again, so i can sue their butts...texas does not put up with that.
