Who Called Us

Got a call with this showing on caller ID name unavailable and then 000-000-0000. It called me today three times. What can this be? Not only are they calling me back to back, but it's 9:30pm Est and they are still calling me. I thought that it was illegal to call after 9pm. Thing is I can't complain because there is no number. And no it's not block buster I so not have an account with them.

Two days in a row the Called ID says 000-000-0000 and New York. I answer no calls unless I know the number and person or requested be called. The do not leave a message. I am sure it is a political call because it is that time of year. I will not answer a call on Called Id that I do not know.

Has called three times today, several other times over the past week. No one on the line when I answer. No recorded message. Caller ID says "Virginia" - number shows no Area Code, just "000-0000" .

I get this call at different times of the day. My caller ID says "Michigan Call 000-0000". I am on the do not call list so the only people allowed to call me are chartible organizations. Its some kind of automated telemarketer service calling, trying to find out when I am home so they can ask me personally for money. They use the number 000-0000 because the call screening service I have will not block a number with all zeros. I had the same problem in the past. I called the charity I usually contribute to and complained to them. The calls stopped. You might try the same thing.

Just had a call from 0000000 and he said somthing in frnch then hung up.Very very strange.

This all-zeros is a new trick. Might be fishing to see when I'm home, as others have suggested. Or might be a disguise for a political call, it's that season (31 Oct 08). A dirtier trick, and one I've found no way to combat, is when a caller ID reads as "NO SERVICE" -- the same message that displays when the line is out! Only has happened once, about four years ago.

Usually I don't answer this, but I did today and there was no one there. They ended the call.

The number 0000000 called me today and left a message. It was Blockbuster Movies reminding me that I still had one of their movies out and that they'd charge me if it wasn't returned on 10/19/08.

Had several calls from this number in the last few days, mostly in the morning. Caller always hangs up on answering machine. I also have call screening service from Pac Bell on this landline, and when I use the feature to add the last caller to the blocking list I get an error that the caller's phone number is not available, so I can't even block calls from them. This is odd since call screening service uses ANI not caller ID (i think) and I can always add calls with blocked caller ID to the call blocking list, call screening just says the number I added is a private number. So maybe the calls are coming from out of the country and have no ANI ?

They called again Sunday morning. I was home, picked up the call, a woman said she is calling from Venture Research Partners and is conducting a survey about consumer stuff. I stopped her and asked to "put my number on your do-not-call list".

Answered it and was Cystic Fibrosis wanting me to help at an intersection of my road and another road. Named somebody in my hometown that was helping. What?

I know this number is at least used by Blockbuster when calling customers about overdue movies.

this is a new one on me...all zero's?? as the others mentioned, no name no location. my guess is that it's an auto dialer to see when you are home. this info is probably sent to actual telemarketers so they know when to harrass the hell out of you.
i no longer answer my phone, and i leave the internet on so it records who called without allowing access to my answering machine, which has been bombarded in the past with telemarketing crap.
pretty sad that i pay so much for phone service and have no power to block these calls

000-000-0000 called today, didn't answer. I'm so sick of this shit i shot my phone and threw the phone in the river. Fuck it.

This # 000-0000 called me 3 times in a row 9/25/2007 at 9:35 a.m.. "No name" came up on the caller ID. I didn't pick up.

Called 8:41pm CST on July 26. Did not answer call and no message left.

I have been getting this call at least 5 times a day. The call always disconnects on pick up.

I receive this call once in a while. The most recent was this month (October of 2006), on 2006-10-17 at 09:23 (in the morning), US Eastern Daylight Time. Is all that shows on the Caller ID unit is '-UNAVAILABLE-'.

Call came in from 000-0000 with no name on 10/07/06 at 10:31am. Did not answer.

call cam in as name not found. telephone number 000-0000 at 6:13pm EST october 4th. Did not answer phone.
